I'm proud to call KMMV my home airport and Potcake my FBO. There is a reason flight schools all over Oregon use this beautiful Class E airport for training. It's a well maintained airport with North/South and East/West runways. Fuel is reasonably priced and 24hr accessible. You can also see an impressive range of big and small general aviation aircraft. Potcake Aviation rents two beautiful Cessna’s, Both IFR ready. The hourly wet rate for the 152 and 172 is perhaps the most affordable in the state. I received my PPL flight training from Rob at Potcakes too. Having spent as much time and money as I have at this airport, I can say with some authority, it's well worth the visit.

I stopped today for some fuel. The pilot lounge was locked, the bathrooms were filthy, out of paper towels, and nearly out of toilet paper, trash overflowing. The fuel hose reel for 100LL, some of the most expensive in the valley, is broken and it won't retract. I went into the FBO and mentioned this to the people behind the desk. If they could care less I'm not sure how. In my 20+ years of flying Potcake is one of the worst FBO's I've encountered. They are doing a great disservice to KMMV and GA in general. If you aren't a jet they don't care.
