Landed there for a fuel and food stop on 22 July on the way to the International C-150/152 Fly-In. Met up with 4 other Cessnas who all topped off and ate at the wonderful restaurant there. This place is a class act all the way around! Great controllers, perfect runway (built for C-5's!), very nice FBO and management, excellent and caring linemen (tied my plane down prior to a CB hitting) and good restuarant - a winner. Take the time to visit the airport museum while in the FBO! Great stop - I'll be back! The Cessna 150/152 Club of American thanks you - well done!

The runway refurbishment is complete and the C-5's are using it. It is impressive to see them lining the ramp. The FBO line staff is extremely courteous. Not only do they come out to spot you for parking, they also direct you out of parking upon departure. I encourage the use of the restaurant (on the 2nd floor). The view of the runway/flight line, while dining in an upscale restaurant (without the upscale prices) really impressed my wife and passenger. The food is so good the locals frequent the restaurant. Note: it is only open Tuesday-Saturday 11:00 – 21:00, but last seating is around 20:00 304-264-9925.

Kind of dead these days while the runway is under construction. I flew in this evening to visit the restaurant on the second floor of the terminal. I arrived 5 minutes before the FBO on the 1st floor was scheduled to close. They left early, all doors locked, no way in the terminal building or around to the front entrance.

New FBO building is not clearly marked, wound up parking by the mechanic's hangar. No one was available at the front desk when I arrived, so I had to hunt around for someone to call the fuel truck. Took over 45 minutes to get a top-off, when the airport was empty. Am considering different airports for my fuel stop on the way home.

They are in the new building. I parked myself, found my way (after a few minutes because I parked in front of the old building where the sign is) into the building. They absolutely would not let me bring the car onto the ramp to fetch my tools (the ONLY airport to date to not let me onto the ramp in one form or another); the girl behind the counter did offer to help carry, but 300lbs of tools and supplies. The enterprise gut helped me when he came (this Enterprise location was especially friendly). This FBO needs to be more accommodating; I did not buy fuel from them because of the hassle. I will use KFDK and drive in next time. This FBO is a waste of good ramp space. Overall Grade: F

Dropped in earlier today. Had to call the FBO to get them to come out, but once there they were extremely friendly. The western half of runway 8/26 is torn up, being extended by the Air National Guard, but the remainder is functional.

Friendly, quick service in the beautiful new terminal.

Now called JetLink USA of Martinsburg. FBO is now in big brick terminal building to left of other FBO looking buildings. Not a sign posted anywhere. If you are an old timer, building to left or East of old FSS building eyesore. No longer in offices attached to hangar.

RON here Saturday June 3rd to visit family in the area. Nothing but praise for the staff. They were friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. However, the tower was closed when departing and had problems picking up my clearance. Had to depart VFR and picked it up in the air. Otherwise it's a wonderful place to stop.

From Paul Gardella on 29-May-2006
New terminal bldg almost complete. Restaurant in the terminal should be open by mid-July, according to line guy this morning. Also, remote clearance delivery freq when tower closed worked on 126.825; not sure about the other freq shown on AirNav page.

Flew in to MRB for a cup of coffee with Bill with our school's 152. Unfortunately, when we started up on the ramp, our radios were shot. The controller was very cooperative with getting us off the ground and in the air. Head over to MRB if you ever want to fly in that pattern the same time a few C-130s are doing tactical runs. I think in the next few years MRB is getting some C-5s. Great place, quiet, and nice people.
