Beautiful terminal, but no one was there on the Friday afternoon that I was there. As I was getting ready to leave, one of the line crew that was cutting grass showed up. Very nice, and very helpful.

As the final stop before crossing the US Border en route from San Diego to Montreal, I needed something a bit more "connected". The dialup connection on the computer wouldn't work..But I was able with my cell phone to make the customs and flight planning for the crossing. It was like being transported back to the 60s.But nice field, nice fella that works the field, and certainly a shelter and bathroom. I think I've become spoiled by the trappings of civilization, and forget that there's places in the country where nice runways and good fuel pumps are all you really need.

I think the below comment about the FBO at the hangar is a bit harsh. It was open after hours, had a bathroom and water and a phone and posted numbers for taxis and car rentals. That's a pretty good port in a storm; especially with the 24-hour self-serve at what these days is a reasonable price. Customs here was friendly and efficient, too.

This little airport seems kind of quiet, but the few people I did talk to were friendly, and one person gave me my intro lesson on self-serve pumps. FBO at the hangar could use some updating, but it is fine for a quick stop.
