Our company based its Twin Otter here for 7-10 days. Black Canyon efficiently arranged for same-place parking every day with a power cord, rental cars, and a no-notice top off at the end of each flight. The service, facility, people and attention to detail are impeccable.

I recently had a stop-over at the Black Canyon FBO. I was on my way to Reno from Ft. Worth, TX. The staff was first rate, the facilities exceptionally maintained and well equipped. Another reason for stopping was competitive fuel prices. MTJ has great runways and approaches, especially for mountain terrain. Jim and his staff are a positive example of how an FBO should operate. All of these elements make the decision for future stops at Black Canyon an easy one to make.

We brought our B-25 "Pacific Prowler" to a local fundraiser being held at Black Canyon Jet Center. This is a very classy operation, but it still manages to maintain a small airport hospitality and charm. The staff and tenants at the airport really made us feel at home. We can't thank you enough.

I have been to Black Canyon Jet Center numerous times over the last few years. The service is exceptional! The FBO is truly a "concierge" service. They have arranged local crew rate hotel, car rental, and have a great attitude. They treat a single engine pilot as if they were in a Biz jet. If you run a FBO, you should come see how they do it here. This is a top tier FBO.

Black Canyon Jet Center is an absolutely FIRST CLASS operation!! Whether you are in a G-5 or a C-172, you are met by a very responsive line crew who instantly meets your needs. Fabulous facility with complimentary ice and cold drinks looks like a high-end mountain chalet. Full facilities for pilots, crew and passengers. Quality loaner cars that look like they are just off the new car lot. Staffed to the hilt with customer savvy people. Tops on my list!! Great snooze room for those long waits for your passengers to show up.

I used the services of Black Canyon FBO last week and was very favorably impressed with both the line crew and the service reps at the desk. They found hangar space for my Bonanza for a very reasonable $35 a night. First rate facility!

We arrived at KMTJ on Sunday July 12th, 2009 in our Cessna 185. The Black Canyon FBO line crew was at the tie down area with our rental vehicle when we parked. They assisted unloading our aircraft and helping to tie down the C185. On Friday July 17th, 2009 we arrived at the FBO for departure. The line crew was busy and so Sharon (CSR) escorted us to the tie down area and stayed while we loaded the aircraft. The loading took some time and Jim Rumble the Black Canyon General Manager came and relieved Sharon so she could get back to the desk. I cannot say enough good things about the service this FBO provides. I will make a point to stop in KMTJ and give them my business whenever I am in the area. The FBO is new and one of the nicest facilities in the world.

Thanks to Jim Rumble, Ken Watson and their well-trained staff, we, as usual, were provided excellent service and professional support in EVERY aspect of our visit to the Black Canyon Jet Center with our Citation CJ3. The Black Canyon facility is very clean and comfortable, just like a western luxury lodge. All guests feel quite welcome including our family dog, our passengers and of course they are VERY pilot friendly, just the way it should be. Montrose is a great place to stop with excellent ATC services, an ILS to a 10, 000 ft runway ending with a warm and professional welcome at the Black Canyon Jet Center. Congratulations on a very well run FBO!

The folks at BCJC have gone way above and beyond to accommodate us during our summer stay with our G550. When the runway closed at Eagle, Jim Rumble and his exceptional staff stepped up to help us through this logistical difficulty. The line service and customer service rivals that of any FBO I have been to anywhere in the world. The FBO facilities are more than 1st class done in the wonderful rustic Colorado lodge style that makes us all feel very warm and invited.

Ken Watson and the staff at Black Canyon are outstanding. I was scheduled to come into Montrose, but due to an itinerary change, we went into Telluride. Ken and the staff helped me with my rental car changes, as well as other logistical concerns that were essential for me to complete my trip successfully. All of the changes that occurred were after normal business hours, therefore I would have really been in a bind if not for the extreme professionalism of this staff.

As of 7/10/08 they had Self Serve fuel at a $0.50 / Gal discount from the truck price. It is located on the ramp near the approach end of R/way 31. One of the nicest Self Serve setups I have seen.

Landed at MTJ with a rental car reserved but the rental counter at the terminal had only one person so they could not deliver the car to Black Canyon JC. Black Canyon JC was nice enough to let us use their crew car for 4 hours, which expedited our trip and kept us on schedule. Nice new facility and very friendly service.

We flew into Montrose as a two-ship demonstration flight for a potential customer in Boulder. We had developed prop. Governor anomalies on one of the planes and needed to troubleshoot. The staff at Black Canyon was ready to assist in every way, providing a car, hotel reservations, a fabulous hangar, and prompt assistance with shipping and receiving parts. Our demonstration was successful, and the people at Black Canyon in particular, and MTJ in general made what could have been an ordeal into a pleasant sideshow. Black Canyon Jet Center is First Class... Low mins at Telluride so landed at MTJ after talking to the staff I decided to stay in Montrose for my 5-day layover. The staff let me use a car and directed me to the sights. Several great golf courses near the airport. I might find a reason to divert next time just to hang out with the cool folks at Black Canyon.

I am an Army aviator stationed out of Phoenix, AZ. Due to weather; I was stuck in Montrose overnight. Ken Watson and the staff at the Black Canyon Jet Center were all so very helpful in getting my crew settled in for the night. This Jet Center has been the most impressive FBO I have EVER seen. I am very pleased with the services provided. They did much more than refuel the aircraft. They were able to coordinate getting the rental car, booking the Hotel, and even helped tie up the aircraft for overnight Parking. Thank you Black Canyon Jet Center..... HOOAAAH.

Well, maybe March 22nd was just a bad day, because last weekend's experience at Black Canyon could not have been better. Luana and the ground crew were extremely accommodating, arranging an overnight tie down, transporting us to the main terminal for our rental, and returning the car for us several days later. Sarah was equally helpful on our departure. Thanks for making our trip hassle-free.

When I fly to Montrose I always fuel at Black Canyon because of their efficient and friendly staff. Luane made my day by bringing me refreshments while I kicked back and watched some TV. I am sure that this wasn't in her job description, but she did it anyway. It just shows you another reason why Black Canyon is a great place to stop. They need to give that girl a raise or something.

I fly my 135 Seneca into MTJ often and this is always a good stop with fair fuel prices, someone there to "welcome" you on Unicom and never a wait for the ramp crew to park you. You can get a quick fuel turn and that is really the norm as opposed to other places where they may act like it is a hassle. Always a congenial crew inside too, with smiles to spare and a helping hand for whatever you might need that day. On my quick turn this weekend, Luane was even nice enough to share her snack stash with me so I wouldn't fly away hungry. Thanks, Luane.

Black Canyon Jet Center has a fantastic staff. Sarah and Luane make a very capable and friendly office team and the line guys were also very courteous and helpful. The airport car provided by Black Canyon was the best I've ever had and checkout was a breeze. Logistics of making connections between personal and commercial aircraft were handled perfectly, which will make MTJ my airport of choice whenever possible. By any measure, Black Canyon Jet Center provided the best FBO experience possible.

I had the worst customer service experience with the office staff in my years of flying today. I flew an Angel Flight mission here. Fuel discount? No can do. A local's discount? No, we're not authorized. Well, fine, but then it went downhill. When I tried to pay for fuel the front desk manager (Sarah) insisted on creating an "account" with all of my contact information. After 20 minutes I still had no bill so I offered to pay cash. They still had to create an account. "Don't you know that computers all work this way before we can take a payment." News to me, and about 5, 000 other FBO's that provide good customer service. Even though I radioed ahead no one told the ramp crew so there was no guidance and no chocks. The ramp guys apologized profusely and were terrific when they arrived...But forget it if you want to buy gas or transact any business with this office staff.

Stopped into Montrose yesterday on my way back to Van Nuys. Reasonably priced fuel and great service. By the time you make it there it will be at it's new location. Easily one of the nicest FBOs I've been to. Courtesy car was a new Nissan Xtera. Sarah at the front desk is as nice as she is beautiful. And if you are really nice to her you might get a nice free Black Canyon baseball cap! Definitely a must visit!
