Brett is a great school to train at. Some of the best instructors I have encountered have been there! However, the major negative with Brett is the lack/inability to keep a constant fleet of Cessna Skyhawk 172SP's. My training took an extra two months longer due to aircraft loss and turnover. For a club that is established and that has been in business for a long time, it is beyond my comprehension why they do not own their own fleet. Because of this fact I have had to go else where for follow on training. This school has the potential to be one of the finest in the Mid-Atlantic region if they were to revamp their business model.

I'm a private pilot for about a year now and working on my instrument rating. Been to a few other flight schools and Brett has been the best so far. They have a weather room and an actual classroom and a simulator, which really cuts back on the costs of flight training also multiple types of aircraft. I have never known them to be closed no matter what the weather is, so not really sure what the previous comment is about.

I've been a student pilot working on my private pilot certificate since April of 2007. I come to Brett Aviation three days a week and have come on some weekends. I've had the most positive experiences that I could have had there. Everyone that works there is friendly and outgoing. They have a very useful WSI weather machine, a flight dispatcher, they are a part 141 school, and they have a classroom and teach ground schools. I am almost complete with my training and I will defiantly come back for my instrument training. I might also say that I work for a Large DoD contractor in the area and I have many fellow employees that come here for the professional training. Thanks Brett!

Visited MTN this past weekend, found I needed an updated set of approach plates/IFR Chart. FBO sent me to "the flight school in the next building" (only FBO in the region without local charts/plates!). Went to ‘Brett Aviation' only to find them closed, doors locked, lights off: mid-afternoon on a nice, warm, calm, summer day. Imagine that, a flight school closed on what should be a busy day. Walked down the hall to ‘Phoenix Aviation': they were open, busy, bustling, and friendly, plus they had current local charts/plates.
