I just heard from Julie O'Brien at Projet, to clarify the situation there. Winchester Aviation has ramp space, but Projet does not. Projet has hangar space, and Winchester Aviation does not. You can get fuel at either place, but it's Winchester Aviation, which supplies the fuel truck. Julie explained that Project is not the FBO, but is a "corporate hangar facility." You choose which facility to use based on your needs at Winchester. Thanks, Julie, for the explanation.

I just called ProJet, and they told me they do not have avgas (have to get that from Winchester Aviation), and they do not have ramp space. They told me to go to Winchester Aviation for my Bonanza. I guess I will.

Pro Jet is the nicest facility I have ever used! The people are very professional and very friendly. No task or request was ever a problem. After hour services, keypad access, staying past 5 pm to let me in because I forgot my gate pass were all greeted with friendly enthusiasm. I can't say enough about the staff and how great they treated my plane and me. I found the rates for monthly rent comparable to other facilities in the area. However, factor in Pro Jet staff moving the Bonanza in and out, hooking up my battery tender, and making sure the plane was ready when I called them and I think this place is a fantastic deal! The actual FBO facilities the pilot has access too are incredible. Several bathrooms with full showers, pilot lounge, chairs, planning room, and a full kitchen. Everything was spotless clean too. I would highly recommend Pro Jet for any GA aircraft, small jet, or other professional services in the NOVA area.

Bring your wallet... Had to hangar my J-3 Cub there due to some damage sustained during a refuel stop... ProJet was not involved with any damage to my aircraft. $100 per night! 8-day stay waiting for insurance and ferry to repair location cost as much as 6 months of my normal hangar rental! They did, after some pleading on my part, reduce the charges by 20%. My point to other pilots flying into the Northern Virginia/D.C. Area is, you can find reasonably priced transient hangar parking at both Leesburg ($60/night), and Manassas ($50/night), rather than paying $100 a night in Winchester. The service and accomodations may be first rate, but if your just looking for shelter from a possible storm you can do better.
