Just got back from the Bahamas (camping on the beach at a deserted island). Due to the NIGHTMAREISH new regulations, I was forced into PBI, despite it being MILES out of the way. After I cleared customs, I needed somewhere to get online and figure out where I was going next and how to get there. The nearest FBO is Galaxy, and got the standard PBI sticker shock. For having a single-engine there for 30 minutes while I used the Internet I was charged $15 landing fee, $30 handling fee, and was threatened with a $25/night parking fee. I took 10 gallons of the overpriced go-juice to waive the handling fee and got as far from PBI as possible. Would HIGHLY recommend avoiding PBI at all costs... Because it WILL cost.

A 'best of' place for our Turbo Commander N900NE. Thanks folks. Well done.

This is THE FBO to go to in PBI. It is the absolutely best service I have ever experienced. I fly a C182 and I was treated like I flew a Gulfstream V! The prices, service and facilities are a breath of fresh air.

Flown in here several times now. Very nice FBO. Fuel price is reasonable and service is first rate. Sparkle always takes great care of us.

1st Class operation. Fuel price w/Colt card was reasonable. Facility is excellent. Staff was friendly & helpful. What more can you ask for?

I WILL NEVER USE GALAXY AT PBI AGAIN due to them charging my pilot $75.00 for "Facility Fee and LF Transient" to taxi over from US Customs to pick up $120 worth of catering. Charging someone $75.00 to pick up Catering IS OUTRAGOUS! I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!

Flew into Galaxy in Cirrus today to drop off a passenger. Called 10 minutes out for a quick turn top off. Upon arrival, no linemen were to be seen until I almost parked too close (100 yards) to the entrance. Gasp! Then one came scurrying out to wave me off and direct me to a spot further away. After telling him I'd like a quick turn, he said I'd have to go inside and give them a credit card before he could do anything. No offer of a ride to the FBO on his golf cart. Once inside, things were more pleasant and the fuel service was completed in a timely manner. My question is this: What's the point of calling ahead if they aren't going to do anything until you go inside and hand over your credit card? Are they worried about gas thieves? Even Wal-Mart says, "Pump first, then pay. We trust you!" Ok, maybe they just have you on camera, but you get the point.

We fly our 900 Turbo Commander into PBI and always use Galaxy. Though we are usually the lesser aircraft on their ramp, but we always get the best of service and attention.

The airport is great. This FBO is great. The people at this FBO are first class. This is also the most expensive FBO and airport I've ever flown in to. They do a great job but you do pay for it. $25.00 to park. $15.00 to land at PBI as of November 1st. $25.00 ramp fee was waived as I bought fuel. I've used F45, which is just to the north. Much less expensive than PBI but it is farther away and the service is not nearly as good. So, pick which one you are most interested in. Time or Money.

We stopped at Galaxy on July 2nd after visiting customs next door. We used the restroom and file our flight plan and were wished a good flight. After clearing customs on July 4th, we returned to Galaxy. We were marshaled in, and used the restroom and were briefing on the weather. On our way out the desk told us we had to pay a $25 'facility fee'. We asked why we hadn't been informed of this on our first visit, nor when we were marshaled, nor when we entered the building, nor by any signage. Employees were vague and argumentative, definitely will not return to Galaxy.

Flew in with my 67 Mooney and was treated very well. The crew car they let me borrow for three hours easily justified the service fee. I am used to mechanically unsafe vehicles, but they pulled out all the stops with a new Mercury with a nav system. They even have me a 30 cents AOPA fuel discount, which brought their fuel prices down from astronomical to just ridiculous, but such is life. I highly recommend Galaxy for SE piston.... You won't be disappointed.

I made a short stop over at Galaxy in a single engine tail-dragger last Friday. The personnel were friendly and efficient. They run a FIRST CLASS operation. There is a "modest" facilty fee..... but the amenities far outweigh that cost. It costs a little more to travel with the "big boys". I will return. PS I was "Empressed" with the Gulfstream IV parked out front....NOT intimidated !

We used Galaxy 12 times this winter after having tried the other FBO's there. Galaxy is the best for many reasons. #1 is the people. The line crew is very competent with a very busy ramp, they know exactly what we need and are ALWAYS ON THE BALL. The front desk team also knows exactly what we want, are well staffed and just happen to all be gorgeous. The rental cars are ready for the pax and after they leave the crew rental car is brought out to the plane. Hertz is onsite. Good pilot lounge, snooze rooms and a free buffet on Sunday afternoons for all the pilots waiting for departures. Whoever runs this place has made sure that the employees understand our perspectives as pilots and what we need. EXCELLENT JOB!! We will be back to Galaxy next winter, many times.

Great experience. Expensive as expected but rcvd discount calling ahead for our overnight in West Palm Beach. Shuttled to and from our hotel. Plenty of staff, great facility. I took minimum fuel to avoid service charge. No hesitation to return.

GREAT FBO! So helpful and kind. The ladies at the counter were awesome as were all the line folks. My first trip to PBI - I will never go anywhere else.

From Justin Sanders on 05-May-2007
Went in to PBI on 4/3/07 and did not really check to see which FBO was the best so I choose Galaxy when I got there. Flying a Piper Aztec is not the cheapest but will sure all a ton. Anyways, I went inside and asked the lady at the desk to top off inboard, outboards, and 15 gals in each tip tank. She got right on it and was done ASAP. I got a car to run and get something to eat and came back and went to pay for the gas knowing it was $5.86 and just asked it there was a discount. Remember if you are an AOPA there is .20 cents off. Then she said I could do .90 cents for you. I don't know if all of you guys will be as lucking as I but the service was great and facility was clean. I was happy on this stop.

March 5, 2007. Galaxy ramp fee is $14.91. Or 10 gal minimum fuel at $5.64/gal. Signature Flight's ramp fee is $27.00 or 7 gal. Fuel minimum. Jet Aviation is $50.00 ramp fee or 25 gal. Of fuel minimum. With Self-serve fuel at $3.37/gal in Naples, FL today, Galaxy facility fee is the best choice for me.

From Mike McKenney on 15-Jan-2007
C-172 training flight. We usually don't stop at the FBO but had to use the restroom. We were given an ultimatum- buy 10 gallons of $6 per gallon gas or pay the $14 "facility fee." We were there 5 minutes. Probably a great place for your G5 or for anyone who likes wasting money.
