FBO is open 8-5, and the after-hours callout number is posted. It's only a 1-man show; when he has to inspect the runways or go to city hall or to lunch, no one will be there, but he's always right back.

Flew in for lunch, FBO was open. Flew home and called the FBO all afternoon to get a courtesy car for that evening for dinner. Called the FBO and never got an answer, called City Hall and they had no clue. Finally flew down and arrived about 7pm. FBO was locked up, and searched the courtesy cars for keys but nothing. So had to Settle For Dairy Queen. I was even planning on filling up the courtesy car. This is the second time I've flown in and had this trouble. The time before I was on a cross-country and need the fuel. It was around 10 am and FBO was open but no one was around anywhere. So if you plan on flying in, don't be shocked if the place is empty or locked up. And the Airport doesn't have Self Service Fuel.

Reasonably priced gas, clean facilities, and two former police cars for loaner use. Good facility, but bring tie down ropes if you're staying overnight.

Based at RPH, so comment may be biased, but wanted to answer a couple of comment questions addressed by previous reviewers... Clayton's BBQ is next to Dairy Queen -- closed Thursdays. They are a lunch destination except for Wed and Fri nights. Bill and Bob are the regular guys at the FBO and they both will take great care of you as long as you treat them as you wish to be treated. Mike is the mechanic closest by, but Steve Pearce at the north end knows ragwings, homebuilts and taildraggers - both are excellent folks. We're Texas folk - if you can't find an answer from any of these folks, walk out to the road and somebody will stop and give you a lift.

Nice airport. Good runways. No SS fuel, but I went from RPH to XBP where gas was supposed to be 50c cheaper. It was only 2c cheaper. RPH has good gas prices, and I didn’t meet anyone unfriendly! I only met 1 person, Mike the mechanic but he was way nice.

Nice airport and good BBQ place within walking distance. But, bring your own tiedown ropes, and I'd recommend getting 25 cents a gallon cheaper self-service fuel in Bridgeport, 37 miles to the East. We found no self-service fuel, no fuel truck to deliver full service fuel, and an attendant with an attitude to go with the not quite full service fixed fuel pump.

Stopped in for lunch one day. There's a Dairy Queen within easy walking distance of the FBO...or, I'm told, a good BBQ place (with limited hours) close by also. They let me use a loan car (ex-police interceptor) for lunch. It was a very pleasant experience, nice facilities and people, and I'll visit again soon to try the BBQ.

Diverted to RPH on Oct 16 due to low ceilings at XBP. Was allowed use of the courtesy car overnight. Bring your own tie-downs though, none available at the airport. I went to Wal-Mart and bought some rope that night. Have been to RPH several times and would always recommend it. The Gateway Inn is a good value for the money too.

Self-serve fuel not available. However, the fuel prices here are generally lower than other self-serve pumps in the area. Fuel hours are 8 - 5 M-Sa, 1 - 5 Su.
