Had an excellent experience mountain flying to KAXX (Angel Fire) from KSAF with instructor Michael Szczepanski of Sierra Aviation. This was part of the "mountain flying course" offered by Sierra that includes great ground (pre-flight) instruction about the factors that influence high-terrain (and high-altitude) operations. If you're visiting Santa Fe be sure to go flying with Sierra!

I took a mountain flying course with Paul Dwyer and then went flying around northern NM and Angel Fire. The plane, the flying and Paul were all great. Highly recommended.

After being out of the cockpit for 20 years I bought a Beech Skipper and Paul Dywer from Sierra Aviation did an outstanding job of refreshing my skills and getting me back in the air again. I found him to be a very effective instructor
