I had a very positive experience with Precision Aircraft Services this year. After a precautionary landing at San Angelo New Year's evening, I called Precision. I knew I was in great hands as soon as I talked to Frank Hinds. He was very knowledgeable and willing to put aside his other work to dig into my problem right away. Frank was very thorough. He diagnosed the problem to my turbo fairly rapidly, but he verified his diagnosis with a thorough checkout of my engine. Since it was Friday of a holiday weekend, I expected a long layover wait for parts. Frank had the Turbo overnighted and met the FedEx plane on the ramp Saturday at 8 am. He then promptly installed it and completed the repair and testing that day. I considered myself very lucky to not only find such a good mechanic and troubleshooter but also to find someone that was so willing to help a stranded transient pilot by dropping his other work and giving up his Saturday on a holiday weekend to get us flying again.
