Berlin Avionics has always been a pleasure to deal with, through three airplanes' extensive avionics upgrades, routine maintenance, and occasional repairs. A knowledgeable tech with troubleshooting abilities, and performs great work!

Ed is old school and new school all in one. Just what you need to deal with yesterdays equipment repairs and retrofitting modern avionics into anything with wings. We had a problem that no one had an answer for. Ed solved the problem for 10% of the cost of the next best solution.

Unsatisfactory

The other comments about Ed trying to troubleshoot problems that others would just swap out is true. Unfortunately, I have spent more money having him troubleshoot than replacing with new. Additionally, the quality of his shops work is dangerously inconsistent. I have had the same items repaired two and three times and had a critical system fail in flight because of sloppy work (like forgetting a hose clamp). I have used him in the past because I preferred to deal with him than acquire a ferry permit. But after the recent, dangerous, and expensive mistakes his shop has made I can only say his work is criminally negligent.
