We followed the great comments here for a fuel and food stop and were absolutely not disappointed. The manager was great to talk with; he lent us a courtesy car for lunch and the plane was fully serviced when we returned. Their 20-year-old cat (wish I had its name) got lots of attention from our daughters. Thanks - very glad we stopped by.

If you don't stop at Sidney you're missing out. We were forced down by the wrath of God stretching all along the Front Range, obstructing our westward trek. Wes (gentleman, scholar, real pilot and all around nice guy) helped us late in the evening to get our plane in a hangar before the wx moved the airport 6 inches to the east. The next day we were escorted westward by a magnificent white Pitts in the hands of a master (Ed?). Dazzling (!) - we'll never forget the sight of that beautiful bi-wing going vertical in the sparkling morning sunlight. (Also, nice new Holiday Inn, $150, free van ride). We're coming back for some aerobatic lessons. Thanks guys! You made our trip.

Super place to stop and stay. The management went the extra mile to meet us for our after-hours arrival, got us into a hangar faster than any place we've been, lent us a crew car for the night, and had us on our way full of fuel first thing in the morning. Excellent facilities, location, and service with a smile. We'll be back any time we are flying through Nebraska.

This is a great overnight/fuel stop. Ed quickly takes care of the plane and has provided use of his car every time I stop. There are several hotels close to the airport.

Dittos to all the above positive comments. Ed & Kelly are top notch, helpful, friendly, good folks. I almost never get to tie down my own aircraft here; they get it done before I can get shut down, and the Cabela's van is usually called and waiting by the time we're ready to get aboard. This has got to be one of the friendliest and most courteous FBO's on the planet.

What a fantastic airport and staff. Ed is always on the line before shutdown and service is top notch. Nice airport to stop into for any reason. Next time you’re in, ask Ed for an acrobatic intro ride!!!!! Just eat AFTER the flight! AMAZING! Cant say enough positive about the FBO or the staff! Thanks and will gladly be back!

We've been here a handful of times; today was the latest. The folks here are very service-oriented. They brought out chocks before we were even out of the plane. The Cabela's van had already been called, and was waiting when we pulled up. It's frequently windy here, so be ready. Get a good look at their 1950s vintage fuel trucks (still in use!) and remember to pet the FBO cat. Nice, nice place to visit!

We arrived mid-afternoon. The folks at Cabela's came to pick us up for lunch at their headquarters store [smoked elk and buffalo sandwiches], and then brought us back to the airport. We were contemplating another leg over the Rockies, but the weather convinced us otherwise. Ed hangared our airplane, loaned us a crew car overnight, and provided great service. Sidney is a great place to stop.

Unplanned landing in Sidney due to an (errant) high EGT reading on our engine analyzer. Ed Nelson and his wife were very helpful. Sidney Aviation is an FBO that truly believes in friendly service and appreciates its customers. GA needs more business like this. Give them a try if you will be in the Sidney area.

Folks here stayed late to fuel me so I could get an early start over the Rockies. Also courtesy truck over to the motel strip just a couple miles from the airport. Excellent service.

I didn't get fuel here because it was more than $1.50 less at several airports within 60nm--and I've never paid more than $5.00 per gallon yet. However, the lineman was out immediately to help tie down the plane.

What a place. Like the previous comments indicated, if you have a fuel stop this is the place to make it. I stopped here, in part, because of other comments by AirNav users. I was not disappointed. They had my plane tied down before I even cracked the door open. They actually answered the Unicom on the first call, which seems to be a rare event these days. I needed to stay over night and they had me moved into a hangar before I knew it (cost 35 bucks, but it was COLD outside and I wanted a fast start in the AM). Kudos to you all!!
