Very GA oriented FBO. Not a lot of frills but they have the least expensive 100LL on the field, and the service is very good. No extra fees either, even for an overnight tie down. Very friendly staff. GA pilots need to support FBOs like this or they may go away! Lots of F-16 activity to distract you from your pre-flight!

Excellent service with lowest fuel prices. Large ramp near two of the most active runways with plenty of parking. Near the major road into downtown Springfield and to the mall/Lincoln's New Salem. Mac taught me how to fly for both my private and multiengine ratings, best instructor if you want to learn how to fly with precision and learn how to survive an emergency. Nothing beats an instructor who has flown about everything with decades of experience and 10, 000+ hours who is also FAA examiner.

Landed there on 11/15/06 because of weather diversion. Great service, quick refueling, great attitude, did let us use car to go grab some lunch. Would return anytime.

I've tied down overnight at McClelland during an annual trip to Springfield for the last three years. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Yesterday we delayed departure due to high, gusty winds and we were able to use the crew car to go to a restaurant. Even though we left slightly after the normal closing time they didn't rush us out the door.

Nice facility and very friendly people. Radio ahead and the crew car will be waiting when you're ready. Recommend you visit the Cozy Dog Drive-In on Route 66 and treat yourself to an origional Cozy Dog. We fly in 3-4 times a year just to visit and eat. A few dollars of gas in the crew car before returning it goes a long way towards keeping the tradition alive.
