Landed here for fuel 4-25 TWICE. On first landing, went inside FBO after using self-service fuel, asked about how to get a ride to town (Silver City) for a stay in a motel. I was told by Dave to call a cab. No courtesy car offered? Decided to go to Deming, where I had a much better experience. See my Deming comment about that trip. Airport (despite not getting a warm reception) free of FOD/gravel on the ramp and runways. Fuel was easy, but my credit card company called me shortly after the fuel purchase to advise my credit card was hit for two each $150 purchases within 10 minutes of each other... Very suspicious to me, but I am working to resolve this since I have my actual receipts as proof the gas was MUCH LESS for my small single engine Cessna.

It's a funky FBO for sure, but for fuel and bathroom, it works. Nice runway and beautiful surroundings. Bring some extra horsepower...I was getting too familiar with the sagebrush after this high altitude takeoff in my underpowered Skipper.

Deming, just to the south, is a better stop for fuel. The fuel there is cheaper, they have two good runways, downtown is right there, they have a courtesy car, and the service is friendly. At SVC, town is a good 30 to 40 minutes away and that's if you have a car waiting for you.
