Arrived on 11-11-07. A man came out and fueled the plane for us and then directed us where to park. We were given overnight use of the courtesy car, for which we were very grateful; we had 3 children in tow. Don't expect much from the town. Friendly folks, but old motel and few choices of were to eat. Windmill Cafe was great for breakfast though.

On June 21, 2007, we stopped overnight on X-country from Terre Haute, IN area (KHUF) to Centennial Airport (KAPA), CO. Gusty winds favored landing on their well-maintained grass strip. FBO personnel were prompt, courteous and informative. Despite not calling ahead to reserve courtesy car as advised, it was available and they kindly let us use it for the very short drive to nearby motel. Though not the greatest bed in the world, the motel owner and his wife were very nice to us. Not a lot of dining choices, but local restaurant did specialize in tasty Mexican fare.

From David Readio on 30-Jul-2006
Hard to say because they were closed on a Sunday. Looks like a nice place to visit during regular business hours, but us weekend fliers are out of luck.

Response from Grace Flying Service, Inc.
Mr. Readio's comments about Sunday hours are correct. We are closed on Sundays, as the "hours of operations" shown here on the AirNav site show. Our hours are also in the AOPA flight guide and every other publication that has contacted us in the last thirty years. Our hours are also on our website, www.graceflyingservice.com. We try very hard to make sure no one is inconvenienced by publishing our hours every chance that we get. If you need fuel after hours, we will make every effort to accomodate you, but we need prior notification (during our posted hours) to guarantee that we can be here.

Have been flying into Cheyenne County Airport for the past two months on a regular basis and the owners are friendly, courteous and provide honest customer service. Always add some fuel before departing and it is appropriately priced considering the JUMP in crude prices. Great small town atmosphere with good food in town.
