My wife and I flew our PA28-180 into Tangier Island in April 2008, and stayed at the Bay View Inn. The new owners took over during the last season, and are open year round. Since the season opens in May, we got there too early to enjoy the shops and other restaurants on the island. Nevertheless, Bay View was an exceptional stay. The hosts offered outstanding hospitality, and each breakfast was unique and delicious. We highly recommend Bay View Inn. The friendly town office told us that the runway would be repaved this year along with all the streets. I only noticed a couple of bumps on takeoff from Rwy 20. Better bring ropes for the tie-down cables. There is a landing fee and overnight fee of $7 each, but if it helps improve the airport, I'm for it. We'll be flying back. --- John & Julie, McLean, VA
