One of the finest airports in the world! Customer service is job one and they will go well out of their way to make your day a pleasant one. TPH is one of my new favorite stops. Watch for winds, weird currents and mountain waves on your way in though!!!!!

Stopped for fuel on the way home. Great service and help with advice and tools to mess with the C195. Sunshine the airport dog almost came home with us!

We had an unplanned stop on the way to Lake Tahoe last Friday due to widespread snow. I have stopped before...And consider Tonopah an "oasis" in the desert even though I have enough range to go on to coastal California from Denver. You couldn't ask for a more accommodating guy than Mark. I would like to stop with more time sometime. The town itself has many of the old historic mining buildings intact, and the local Burger King/convenience mart has the walls filled with historic photos. The airport has quite a WWII history of its own.... Highly recommend a stop.

Stopped for fuel, nice airport, no frills, and no problems.

Wish my experience were as pleasant. Telephoned to check availability of JetA and gave them my ETA 7-28-07 which I met on the minute. No radio response but the glider pilots directed me to the "hut" with the fuel truck parked outside. Waited 50 minutes until the fueler arrived whom "will be there in 5 minutes". Discounted my fuel 10 cents to 4.00 for my "trouble". Got the fueler's cell phone and main phone to arrange for fueling on the return flight, left two messages none of which were answered so I changed my route and refueled in FMN.

Tonopah is a great stop. Mark was right at the fuel pumps and ready as always. Wonderful historical airport. Great people. Give Desert Flying Service your business. They deserve it!

Stopped for gas there late afternoon...Lineman was there to guide us in, fueled up and off the ground within 20 minutes. Service was very friendly. Won't have any reservations about returning again!

Stopped to refuel in my Meridian. Friendly service, friendly dog, cozy lounge (not fancy, but comfortable). Although, from the air, it looks like the field is miles from anywhere, there seem to be a lot of local hotels/services, judging by the posters in the lounge.

As a flight crew member/passenger we stopped in Tonopah and I had the time to talk to Grandpa (Dick Peterson) Mark's father who was there. What a nice fellow and WWII pilot what wonderful stories and we could all take some lessons from people if we only gave them the time, always enjoy landing there for fuel and conversation at the FBO. Fun Flying for All.

I stopped for fuel on a trip south from Montana. Excellent service, a lineman was out there to direct us to the fuel pump, fueled us up and we were on our way in 15 minutes. I would definitely use this FBO as a fuel stop again.
