I flew into WEA 8/17/09 and flew out 8/22. I found very accommodating, personal, and capable people caring for my plane. Also the fuel was the most reasonable price I found on my route. Thanks Parker County airport staff.

Stopped by this FBO to pick up my niece on the way to Abilene. WOW, impressive improvements and great fuel prices! I was so impressed I made a point to stop here again on my way home! No disappointments here (other than possibly the rest room is not the fanciest!).

My last comment may sound like an advertisement, but not really intended. I have no vested interest, other than I would just like to see the airport succeed. The new owners have put a lot private money into the facilities and have plans make additional improvements. They are providing a facility, goods and services for pilots that meet our flying needs at a reasonable cost.

I stopped by Parker County Airport for fuel on my way back from McGregor (KPWG) last Saturday (Jan 31). For those of you who haven't been there in a while, the airport was sold to McBee Homes last year. The company is converting a formerly run down and neglected airport into a first rate airpark. Lots of improvements completed. Runway was extended by 300 ft South end, sealed and re-striped. Taxiway paved the entire length of the runway. Ramp paved, marked and tie downs installed. New 3000-gallon 100LL self-serve dispenser installed and now operational. Fuel was $3.20. Shell Aviation card or any other major credit card works and available 24/7. Airport manager is there 8 to 5 and will assist you, if necessary. H side of the big hangar. It is intended for social events. Driver's Dinner short walk down the hill to the East if your diner-style "hamburger low light" is on. Fly in to see it for yourself and buy some fuel.

Wow! Had not been out here for over a year and could hardly believe this was the same airport. New ownership and it looks great. Runway has even been lengthened. Looks like a new airpark is being developed to the west side. Easy access to I20 and Weatherford.

I don't know if maybe the runway has been fixed since that remark about loose gravel, but I landed here 2 weeks ago in a Mooney and had absolutely no problems at all. You can walk down the hill to the truck stop and have a nice cheap meal.
