Had to fly in there late at night and called ahead to request after hours fueling. Mr. Jim Roberts came out and met me. Great service. Above and beyond the norm.

Flew into Sidney last night and walked to town. Now at first glance, Sidney may not seem like your typical $100 hamburger destination, but as I've been to most airports with good restaurants within a reasonable distance from Albany, I wanted to do try something different. Reading a previous entry in these reviews, I found a favorable mention of The Trackside Dining Restaurant on Main Street. We flew in as the sunset and walked about 1.25 miles to get to the Trackside getting there right at 8:00- closing time. The folks were very gracious and welcomed us in anyway. We all ordered the strip steak and enjoyed the best steak we've had in a long time. I'll recommend the waffle fries as well. Thanks to all at the Trackside, and we'll definitely be back. It's worth the walk. Just be mindful of your departure procedure if you fly out at night... You're deep in the valley.

Stopped late on Sunday on the way back from Canada in marginal weather and the Manager could not have been more helpful. Even though they were long past the official closing time, he was happy to stay as long as we needed. We re-checked weather, worked out a new plan and filled up with very reasonably priced fuel.

We stopped at Sidney en route to New Hampshire on 10/02/08. Beautiful little airport. The leaves had just begun to change when we were there. Although the airport doesn't have a courtesy car, one of the locals (Charlie) lent us his truck so we could get a bite to eat at the highly recommended Trackside Restaurant. The place was packed the food was good.

Sidney is a great airport, always-friendly people and will help you with any problem, they have great services and I can’t think of anything bad.. Maybe the lack of helicopters.. Oh well heh. They do have a nice vietnam/ww2 era jeep on the apron; it’s very nice to see. Happy flying

Great little airport in the hills of New York had to fly a close approach. Greeted at the ramp, cheap fuel rates and computer to use.
