Lost my alternator and diverted to p33. Was met by Jim Walden on Saturday afternoon. He worked till late that night and early Sunday morning to diagnose and fix the problem. Got a car to the hotel sat night. Jim is an ace mechanic. What an asset he is to his aviation community.

Stopped in November 1st. A more hospitable FBO would be hard to find. A courtesy car is available as are several restaurants not far away. Thanks to Louise and Jim for doing a great job!

Stopped in for fuel during flight from So Cal to El Paso. Very friendly and helpful folks operate the FBO here at Wilcox. Facilities are very clean and relaxing. Fuel price cheap, and fast service. La Bamboo, a 1970's six passenger Ford LTD was made available to visit town. Great place!

Forced in here from airframe icing in clouds, and was a surprisingly nice place to stay overnight. Walden Aviation folks fueled me immediately, and they have a nice facility and store. The Desert Inn motel in town will pickup and drop you. Nice folks, and a good alternative stop.
