No mention of losing their lease. Mile walk sounds about right. Cab service is spotty at best. Service was OK, held our reservation for over an hour due to ATC and no cab. Food was excellent even if a bit pricey. Will definitely return!

Good food. Fair service. The walk is more like 1 mile (not half a mile). I would recommend Hemingways, but note that their menu (front cover) states that they may be losing their lease. They have started a new restaurant called Sarah's but I am not quite sure where it is.

If you want good food, go to Kent Island Depot. It's a shorter walk, and you get friendlier service. If you want atmosphere, a pretty view of the sun setting over the Bay, the boats, and all that, and don't mind paying 2-3x as much, then Hemingway's is not a bad way to go. It is about a 15 minute walk, as you have to walk 3/4 of the perimeter of the airport to get there. This may change when the county builds the new FBO building at Bay Bridge on the north side of the runway, scheduled for 2008-ish.
