"Excellent airport” clean, modern decor, snacks, well-maintained, pleasant people. The one HUGE thing that is wrong with this airport is no 24-hour access (very very very important). Otherwise pilots have to sleep in the crew car if it's fortunate enough to be unlocked and pee on the grass. Even the Wi-Fi is good and the private sleep room with connected bathroom and shower (so what if the water is cold, its a shower!). Fuel price is on the high side, but I still love this place other than the lack of 24-hour access (big huge problem). Otherwise almost perfect. Perfect airport.

I had originally planned on landing KMOB but due to a thunderstorm needed an alternate. I decided on 1R8 and what an unexpected pleasure. As I arrived at the field I was greeted with a friendly radio call asking if I needed fuel and told that there were breakfast sandwiches inside. The staff was fantastic and offered the use of the crew car for my business in Mobile. When I arrived back at the field my plane was ready to go and I was offered snacks and a beverage for my way out. My Jet A fuel price was also $2 gallon cheaper than what I had planned at my original destination. I will make this place a go to whenever I am in the Mobile area. Thanks Team.

The new FBO folks are really great! Food is available most days, and they will fuel your airplane same price as self serve. They couldn't be nicer with the transients and base customers alike.

Weather brought us here on cross country trip back to Texas in my 172, Crew at FBO quickly helped us get squared away not only with tie down but motel and transportation. Next day affordable fuel, clean FBO with all services and good conversation until weather allowed us to depart. Great experience! We will return when route allows.

This airport is awesome! Tory at the front desk was kind and accommodating. Made a fresh batch of cinnamon rolls for us when we came through. Fuel Prices are low. The lineman was easily one of the coolest and nicest guys I've met at an FBO. He ended up grilling burgers for lunch that day. Excellent FBO and super friendly staff. Can't wait until work brings me back by to spend another afternoon with the awesome folks here.

A First Class experience from a great bunch of folks who really treat you right! The excellent and friendly line service is right up there along with a friendly, tail wagging "airport" dog who is part of the family! Tori, the pretty Southern Belle behind the counter came out to take a picture of my old airplane (a 1959 Bonanza) for their scrapbook. The terminal is fresh, clean, and new, and they have a wonderful snack and sandwich menu to get you on your way. The airport is clean and well maintained and the wonderful folks at Baldwin Aviation really go the distance. Bay Minette is a hidden jewel. Highly recommended!
