FAA-Approved Training Center
An aviation training center, certificated by the FAA under Part 142, provides training programs to accomplish a variety of training objectives, such as pilot certification, type ratings, recurrent training, and others.
FAA-Approved Training CenterIn order to receive and maintain a Part 145 certificate, a training center must have its programs, courses, courseware, facilities, equipment and personnel, management, and more, reviewed and approved by the FAA. There is an initial certification as well as ongoing certification.
When you see the "Part 142" symbol on AirNav, it means that the training center affirms that it has a current Part 142 certificate, and delivers training according to an FAA-approved program. To check on the certificate(s) held by this training center, the training programs available, the types of aircraft supported, or any other details, please contact the training center or the local FAA FSDO with jurisdiction over the training center.
