Flew in for lunch at Lambert's (not to be missed, free shuttle) on a stormy Sunday. Director of Maintenance Phillip stuck his head out to see what fools shoot the non precision approach to minimums, then rallied the troops back from an early day for the full service fill up. Wonderful southern hospitality! Note FS only.

On the afternoon of 31 Oct 18, 4 Boeing Stearman Biplanes descended on 5R4 in preparation & transit to the Blue Angels Homecoming Airshow at NAS Pensacola. The plan was to stage out of 5R4 and fly some practice formation flights. As with the best laid plans of mice and Stearmans, this plan quickly got derailed when my aircraft experienced a rough running engine. Folks from Lightning Aviation were quick to come out and assist us. Trouble shooting of the spark plugs revealed a couple "weak" plugs which we were able to purchase there and replace. We would not have been able to get back into the air without the kind support and use of the shop facilities and equipment of the FBO. My sincere thanks to all the great maintenance folks there at the FBO for all their displayed kindness and selfless assistance - it is truly appreciated!
