Stopped in for an over night this past weekend, very nice airport. I will be back. Great small town!!

Flew back in to Dowagiac this weekend, with two passengers. Probably four or five other transient aircraft tied down, still there was plenty of room for the T206H. This is a great airport and area, I would recommend the nearby Timberline Restaurant as a good reason to visit the area.

Took C172 to Dowagiac over the weekend. The runway and apron have been repaved and are actually in good shape. I had called airport manager in advance and he told me they had marked the tie downs, but I still found them difficult to locate (one kind soul in a car led us to the tie downs so we didn't have to shut down the plane) and I still had to dig them out of the dirt. Make sure to bring your own tie-down ropes. You can get into the building, but will need the code. If anyone is on the airport property, they can probably help you get in if you need to use the facilities. Had fun talking with a fella who keeps his Citaborea on the field while we were waiting for our ride to pick us up.

Update on tie downs. There are some north of the ramp; they are just hard to see when you taxi up. Many thanks to Kent Clark for hangar space when the weather moved through!

Stopped in yesterday. This airport has limited services, but has a great location to the Sister Lakes area and the City of Dowagiac, which has been in revitalization mode for the last couple of years. Shops and restaurants available. SS fuel available, resurfaced ramp and taxiways. Tie downs not available, so watch the weather, I triple chalked the T206H. Note RP for runway 9.

The reason the sod was being torn up was they were enlarging the taxiways. C91 now has totally redone runway and taxiways. Fuel is operational, and freshly painted runway markings.

I think this airport may be closed. The only signs of life I saw there were the construction workers tearing up the sod by the hangars. The fuel tanks were empty and non-functional. I had to dig the tie downs (the only one set they had there) out from the dirt. The door to the FBO was locked, but the building didn't look unoccupied. At least I didn't get charged a landing fee for the couple’s days I stayed there.
