Flew in on 13 Aug (Thursday) to take advantage of the cheap fuel and was pleasantly surprised. The runway is in good shape and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Great service, open 7 days a week.

I've been refueling at Randolph County on cross-countries for a couple of decades. Usually has the best price especially for cash, which is about 15 cents less per gallon than the CC. Price. They close promptly at 5 p.M. Even in summer.

Eric runs a great operation here. His fuel prices cant be beat anywhere in the area. Nice facility, nice town. I will fly 70 miles to get fuel for $2 less per gallon any day. If you are lucky, you might get to meet Max Knight, the guy who wrote "Spinning Through the Clouds". It’s a great read about early aviation in this area.

Reasonable gas price, okay facility, narrow runway, gas attendant did his job but not what you would call friendly.

The posted 100LL price is $3.98 for credit cards; however, if you bring cash or a good check, it's $3.85. Good quick stop!

Gas price is slightly higher if you pay with a Credit Card, but still very reasonable and the folks working there are very friendly. Good small town airport and worth noting for future fuel stops! They hope to eventually build a new (longer/wider) runway.

Stopped in here for an overnight at the Winchester Inn Guest House. We arrived after 5PM, so the FBO was closed, as we expected. Bring your own chocks and park over by the windsock. Ted from the guesthouse drove out to pick us up and dropped us off again the next day. It's a wonderful retreat, and Ted's a pilot too, so we could do some hangar flying. He's picked up pilots stranded before by weather, too. On departure the next morning there were a couple of planes that flew in for the great fuel prices. Definitely a keeper.

Great airport! Eric came right out to meet me and top off the tanks. Very nice facilities w/ snack machines and a lounge. Amazing fuel prices. When you go, (which you definitely should) make sure to buy some candy from Mark.

Great service and reasonable prices. Mrs. Wick’s restaurant (2 miles) is worth the trip!

From James Coughlin on 14-Jan-2007
Credit card price on 1/10/07 was $3.20, however; better yet, the cash price is $3.08. Good stop, with friendly service.

Thanks for keeping your fuel prices low and keeping GA alive. Nice people there as well.
