Still very pricey fuel with very friendly service. Flew in here due to super strong winds beating my fuel supply down and was very unhappy to find that they lock the little weather shelter near the pumps. Had to walk to the main terminal for a phone and wi-fi, and the winds had caused the front entrance to malfunction. As I walked into the terminal the automatic door tried to take me out by closing on me with great force. Took 1 cop, 3 TSA employees, the airport fueler, and a maintenance man to fix it...I see why California has budget problems. Seriously I would avoid Humboldt County airports for fuel unless you have no other options. This is a great area to explore by air, just haul your fuel from Willits to the south or Crescent City from the north.

Courteous fueler, and an average porta potty. 5.95 for 100LL on 7-27-08. The airport has absolutely nothing going on for the GA pilot, except the terminal building far from the pumps. Unless you have an IFR ticket and a big blue sky...Beware.

I just called the fuel number at 1-707-839-1502 and fuel is available daily from 4am-midnight, $5.50 for 100L with tax

Still no 100LL, and it will be a while longer, according to the fellow I spoke with on the JetA truck yesterday. Apparently, there is work being done on the 100LL fuel tank...

Check NOTAMs for fuel status. They were out of 100LL last week and expected to be out for the rest of the month!! No issues at Murray (KEKA) 10 NM south across the bay...

Plenty of tie downs available, but $7/night parking seemed expensive. Called the number on the fuel shack window - the line guy was friendly and came right over to fuel me (said they hoped to have self-pay soon). Be sure to write down the gate code before you leave or you'll need the sheriff to let you back in.

Great airport and friendly people, but you do pay a premium for gas. Restaurant food is tasty and reasonable, but not cheap. Lineman said he also works the fire service and pumps the jet A for commuters, so if service seems slow at times, it could be due a lack of staffing

Arrived in the cold fog on a Friday night and was promptly met at the fuel pump by a very courteous attendant who topped us off and had us on our way in fifteen minutes. Fuel cost seemed ok given the remoteness of the field.

From Kevin Morisette on 13-Jan-2007
The fuel pump is the one on the right; the one of the left is for something else I believe. After looking for the self-serve credit card machine, the lineman came and got it working. If you pay with credit card, you pay inside the building with him. He said they purchased the fuel last summer, so the prices are still high ($4.50).
