Beautiful little restaurant, not typical. Staff was friendly but we were a bit taken aback at the size of the portions which were quite small and the very steep prices for what was served. The potato skins appetizer bordered on awful, other food we got was ok but a touch bland. I don't mind paying extra for the airport experience but this restaurant unfortunately isn't cutting it on quality. I would still eat here in a pinch but not a first choice.

Had dinner at the Silver Lining on 2/20 with my wife and 5 year old daughter after spending the day hiking in Redwoods National Park. We had a great experience. They have an extensive menu with steaks, fish, and pork entrees as well as the usual burgers and salad fare. My wife and I both got a maple-glazed salmon entree that was excellent. They offered to make a grilled cheese sandwich for my daughter even though they don't have a printed "kid's menu." Staff was very friendly and responsive to requests; prices were reasonable. I agree with the comment below - this isn't your typical airport diner. We will definitely go back on our next trip to Arcata.

Stopped into the Silver Lining for lunch on 2/13/06. Lunch was in the bar/lounge. Dinner is in an adjoining room. Lunch menu was typical hamburgers, BLT, Clubs, etc. Good food and service, nice view of the runway. Lunch prices in the $10 - $12 range. Dinner menu was pretty extensive, looked good. Overall, a quality restaurant, not your typical airport diner.

Stopped in for lunch at the Silver Lining on Friday. The hamburgers and fries were very good and the food was delivered quickly. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I'd go back again.
