Super support for a business meeting -- quick assistance on parking and tie down with warmed courtesy car meeting us at the plane so no delay in making our appointment. And friendly support on lunch recommendation afterwards! We'll definitely stop at Five Star for any future visits!

Not only they offer the lowest fuel prices in the NE but their hospitality allows you to indulge in their delicious hamburgers and hot dogs. Joe the manager of the FBO goes out of his way to make you feel at home. I recommend them highly and I will use them for many years to come.

I'm at the FBO right now, with free WIFI, and two free cheese dogs, fresh off the grill with mustard, ketchup and relish, and a bottle of water. Honestly? Where else can you get this? Oh, that and some of the cheapest gas in the northeast.

Stopped in for lunch and a top off on Monday. Was met with smiling faces but also informed that the airport restaurant is closed on Mondays and that the crew car was in use already - great! Not to worry, those same smiling faces offered to cook us hamburgers and hot dogs on their grill - complementary! I fly a single engine! The prist additive and the ice cream sandwiches for desert were also complementary! What else is there to say - you're missing the boat if you don't stop there. I live in Tennessee and know hospitality when I see it. You will see it too.

Horrible, horrible customer service. Five Star has cheap gas, and you get what you pay for. They didn't chock my plane even though their ramp has a slight slope. I needed some help with filling my landing gear strut, and they wasted three hours of my time by leading me to believe they were going to help. My time is worth more than the $8 of savings. Luckily, the other FBO helped me out of my trouble. I will never do business with Five Star again. If you do, I recommend you watch their linemen and check the gas meter.

Stopped here for a day on 9/10... Great service. Called ahead about a rental car ($42 per day), they brought it out to the plane even before the prop stopped spinning :) Great fuel price... About the only thing is they moved the plane, and didn't tie it down :(

Fantastic prices, friendly people, a great facility...this is an almost perfect fuel stop. We stopped at Five Star in our Citation and loved it. The only thing that tarnished the experience is the letter that arrives a month later with an invoice for a landing fee. It was $11 for us--not much; but, the hassle factor is absurd! Why not collect the fee at the point of sale?? It probably costs $8 of someone's time just to process the bill. IMHO, this is a creeping user fee policy that should be stopped. You folks in Westfield should be working on your city council to get them to understand the value of your airport and get this fixed.

Five Star is a great FBO! I flew into Barnes to visit the Basketball Hall of Fame. They gave me a courtesy car to use for the day and directions to the HOF, and I didn't even buy any gas (rental). I tried to give them some money to show my appreciation and they would only take $5.00 to cover the auto gas. Free bottles of water and I was on my way. No doubt, I will stop back there on my next visit. Thanks for great service!

Having read the comments on this board, expectations were high when I flew in on Jul 24 for a quick turn to pick up fuel and file to my next destination. I was not disappointed. Flawless, friendly service. It certainly doesn't hurt that pretty much everyone who works there is a GA pilot! That explains a few things. We returned later in the afternoon with 3 other planes for a late lunch at the restaurant and continued to receive excellent service. If only every FBO had this attitude! No F-15's were operating the two times I visited that day...Oh well, I have no choice but to come back and try again!

Great experience! Although not the largest in size, I find Five Star to be one of the best FBO's I have been to. The fuel price for 100LL was and continues to be the best in the area. The line service and customer service reps were extremely professional and were there to help as soon as I taxied up on the ramp. Keep up the good job!

Great FBO. Had to stop at BAF due to low ceilings. They set me up with a car rental, tied down the airplane for couple days, and made everything as easy as can be. Great fuel prices, too. Also, the kids got to see four F-15s do afterburner takeoffs, followed by near vertical climbs. That made up for having to drive a rental car home.... I'll be back.

I stopped in today for a fill up and was pleasantly surprised to see that Five Star still has the cheapest 100LL around. I always start or end my trips at Five Star because I can't see paying $.50 to $1.50 more for the same fuel elsewhere. Great service, free popcorn and low prices! These guys can't be beat!

Flew in today with 2 other airplanes for breakfast. Confirmed with the lineman that avgas was $3.19/gal as posted on AirNav. After breakfast, went to settle the bill and was astonished the price was $3.49! I was told the price had just changed but I did not see a fuel delivery truck while at breakfast on a Sunday morning! Makes one wonder about the honesty of the operation!
Response from Joe Occhiuzzo, General Manager, Five Star Jet Center Dear Anthony, I am truly sorry to hear about your experience. As you can see from all of our other comments, your visit is not the norm and we strive to give our guests the best possible experience. While we regret having to raise our price because of the current market, we are still the best value in the entire northeast and will continue to be. If you had brought this to my attention I would have certainly taken care of you-- in fact-- if you stop in again, please see me and I will discount your fuel purchase as a one-time customer service gesture. We take great pride in our customer service, and no one will be allowed to fall through the cracks! Sincerely

Flew in for a quick top-off. They were great, offered coffee, etc., while we waited. You can't beat the price, and the service was terrific. Being a beautiful early summer Sunday morning, they were busy and we had to wait 20 minutes to get our fuel, but that's not a complaint. Restaurant looks great, too, although we didn't go.

Five Star rules!! $3.09 Avgas, a lineman who is ready to park me from 1/2 a mile away, and asks if we need a quick turn or we're doing lunch, and a fast and professional ringout by a friendly young lady. Five Stars is right! Thanks again!

I flew into BAF today for fuel and breakfast. My first time at Five Star and everyone was absolutely terrific. This FBO is a real gem. With the fuel prices as low as they are I would return. Add in the super friendly service, F15's on the field, the arresting wire in case you come in a little hot, and a burger it's a non-brainier great FBO.

Five Star should be called 10 - star! Great service, friendly and clean. I keep my SR22 at Southbridge so it's an easy flight over for fuel (savings of almost $2.00 per gallon from my home airport and over $3.00 per gallon from our summer place on Martha's Vineyard). My high school buddy - Paul B'Shara owns the restaurant by his name. Great place there too.

I stopped by today for Gas. They are by far the lowest Avgas prices in the North East at $3.09/gal! I was hardly out of my plane before the services began. I come up to 5 Star regularly to purchase fuel. Summer time they throw a hotdog or hamburger on the grill for you. Service is excellent. New Restaurant on the field is walking distance clean and good. Very friendly line and office staff. They have been the lowest price fuel from Maine to Virginia so sometimes there is a gaggle of planes ahead of you but they're always friendly. Stop on by!

I travelled on a cross country flight with our squadron's skipper when my jet had a minor brake issue requiring me to remain behind until it could get fixed. I ended up staying for about four days and the service was great. I had a crew car at my disposal and the staff was extremely helpful. Security was good as well. You don't take an F/A-18 just anywhere. I would recommend this stop to anyone, military or civilian.

I often stop here for the great fuel prices - Five Star is one of the lowest in the CT/MA/RI area. I brought three first time flyers to enjoy some lunch at the new indoor/outdoor restaurant. Unfortunately, it was the worst lunch I have ever had. Service was pathetically slow (I mean really bad) and some of our food was cold and of poor quality. It ruined an otherwise great day with people not familiar with small friendly airports like this. I'm not sure if the restaurant is affiliated with the FBO, although it appears so from the listing here. The FBO has great service and fuel prices but I would not recommend eating at this restaurant even if they were giving away free burgers and hot dogs like several other people have described.

Family was out leaf peeping Sunday 10/21. Stopped in for fuel. Remarkable service, lineman waiting for us as we left the runway, parked us right next to the FBO and fueled the plane immediately. Flew in here again on Tuesday the 9th with my father-in-law and Pat was waiting for us outside. The same unbelievable treatment. Incredibly friendly folks and they even offered me a piece of one of the line guy's birthday cake. He hadn't even blown out the candles yet. Fuel was insanely cheap, like last time, and they were quick and professional. Make sure you don't accidentally stop at the wrong FBO. Head for the giant FIVE STAR sign on the building. Great fuel stop. Prices can't be beat. If you are on the way to AOPA Expo, this should be your planned fuel stop. Complimentary dogs & burgers on the grill too. Heck, they even have a popcorn machine. Say HI to Joe at Five Star, the friendly fuel guy. You might mistake Joe for another employee, because they are all so friendly. Flew into KBAF for the first time after reading the positive comments here on AirNav. Five Star was absolutely tremendous in both their fuel price ($3.60/gal 100LL!) and their hospitality. Hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill immediately after we landed and plenty of friendly personnel made for a wonderful day. Follow the blue shirts to Five Star and ignore the yellow shirts at the FBO next door that tries to "steal" incoming aircraft. Thank you to Five Star for the royal treatment.

These guys are unbelievable! I've never had a more positive experience, and w/ my work, I hit a lot of FBOs. Upon arrival without even noticing it, they pulled the courtesy car up behind my plane, had it running w/ the AC on, and put my bags in it for me. They were topping the tanks in the plane before I even put the car in drive.. I put $20 worth of gas in the courtesy car (that I had for 4 hours) before returning it and they tried to pay me back for it!! I've never even heard of that! They offered to "make me burgers or something" if I was hungry. On top of that, they have the cheapest Avgas I've bought this year. Can't say enough good about these guys. I had to write this to let everyone know. This FBO is bringing back the way aviation used to be. I flew into Five Star Jet Center on Sat on my way to the Cape Cod to visit friends. I was greeted by good line service and great fuel prices (considering the prices of the surrounding airports). Here’s the kicker. After I paid for my fuel one of the line guys offered to cook me lunch. I guess this is something they do everyday and for anyone that stops by. I couldn’t believe it. In the future I will stop here on all my trips to and from the Cape Cod. I wish all FBO's treated us small general aviation pilots like this. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!!!!

Flew into Barnes unexpectedly when I found out en route that my passengers had a car waiting there instead of Bradford as I originally expected. The FBO service was excellent! No issues at all with dropping in unexpectedly, they asked if I needed to use the courtesy car, or if there was anything else I needed; pointed me in the direction of a restaurant on the field so I could get lunch for my passengers, then when I didn't have enough cash to pay for the lunch (the Flight Deck didn't take credit cards) the line man paid $10 out of his pocket and said not to worry about it. I say again, Excellent Service! This FBO will be building a large new facility soon with a large hangar capable of supporting mid to large size business jet aircraft. I will definitely return to this FBO when I am back to Barnes!
