My wife and I visited Seattle last week and we parked our CJ at Clay Lacy for a night. It was a Sunday and the ramp was busy! Now, I am by no means a "big jet" but that did not matter. The guys on the ramp were there to greet us and were very nice and serviced our plane quickly. It was an overall great experience even if they were clearly up to their eyeballs with airplanes. Thanks for listening.

Well, I visited Clay Lacy on 9-9-07, and it was by far the worst experience I've had at an FBO. There were aircraft all over and no one was around to direct us to parking. So, I just did the best I could and shut down. The next problem came with the rental car... We were given three different cars. Each car they gave us belong to a different tail number. There wasn't anyone to help us move our luggage and furthermore there were no apologies for the fiasco. We arrived at 1100L and asked to be topped off for our departure at 1800L. Well guess what... We arrived to find our tanks still empty! Go to ANY other place on the filed. The only good thing about Clay Lacy is they had a cute front desk girl. But, then again they all do.

Woefully understaffed. Arrived at 9:30am this Sunday morning. No one to guide us in among the chock-a-block planes on the ramp (much less chock us, help with our bags, etc.), making the self-parking experience dangerously harrowing. A solo staffer behind the front desk, who was over-burdened. When we finally got to her, she took our fueling instructions but they had been overlooked when we returned five hours later. The desk staff was strikingly cute and pleasant, which tended to make the people ahead of us loiter, and the bottom line is that the job isn't getting done at this FBO, at least on this day.

Flew in for a few hours on April 23. Nice FBO facility and staff was pleasant. The Fuel price charged however was $4.61 + taxes for a total of $5.02. That’s a FAR cry from the "guaranteed" $4.11. I didn't have the time to argue and point out the discrepancy, but clearly this FBO is posting a low guarantee on AirNav to attract business, and then not standing by that price. An unfortunate way to do business.
Response from Breah Tagalan, Executive Administrative Assitant, Clay Lacy Aviation Mr. Lewis- Our prices are guaranteed per the AirNav site and your fueling I would assume your uplift fell during the update of our prices. We would like to extend an additional discount for your next fueling and also credit your for the difference in the fuel prices. Please give Breah or Martin a call at 206-762-6000.

Highly recommended if you're traveling to downtown Seattle. Clay Lacy is a high-end corporate jet center with all the luxury features one would expect. Yet they treat us "little guys" just as well. The 100LL price is high, but not the exorbitant price that most similar luxury FBOs charge. Definitely worth the price for the service in any case. Easily available Enterprise rentals at the FBO -- I dropped off downtown a few days later for no additional fee. Clay Lacy has passes to the Museum of Flight located on the opposite side of Boeing Field. If you're near, don't skip the Museum.

Excellent facility, friendly and helpful staff, good fuel price, for "nowadays", user-friendly flight planning, and just all around "Thumbs Up".
