I landed at KBFM on a Saturday morning in a Skylane with two friends. We spent the day at the outstanding USS Alabama battleship/submarine/aircraft park. The only FBO there is Signature, which I generally regard as a big, impersonal, greedy and corporate jet oriented operation with outrageous prices. This one is different. The prices are high with a $25 ramp fee and $6.24 100LL. I bought 10 gals, which eliminated the ramp fee, and received a "weekend discount" on the fuel. Meanwhile the lineman and CSR couldn't have been nicer. We had unlimited use of the pleasant facilities including coffee and snacks. Best of all the CSR gave us a crew car for the day... All for 10 gals of gas! Now at least one Signature location gets my thumbs up.

This is homebase for 15+ years, but I have never commented. Service is fine. Operators have changed, construction is constant, which represents tremendous growth, but also challenges for users and operators. Today I got a flat tire landing on 18, couldn't even really rollout. Stuck at a safety area on the side of 18. Hot, as you know Alabama summer can be. Airport authority and Signature came and got me fast. Taxi tow was careful because of flat main, but the equipment and expert handling saved the SR22 from any damage.. They went the extra mile, and I am so grateful. Thank you Mathew! Thank you MAA! I have been to hundreds of airports, and I have commented on many. I am not biased because I am based here. These professionals care, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Excellent customer service. Short on crew cars, but gave me a ride to hotel. Waived ramp fee when filling C182 up with fuel.
