Nice, conveniently located airport. Provides for a stop just outside the busy Dallas area. Interestingly has a grass strip on the north side of the runway. Nice little self serve pump. FBO seems closed just about every time we fly in; I guess it closes early (at or before 5pm). Once had the opportunity to walk inside the FBO. Lady spoke very rudely, refused any sort of assistance with self-serve pump whose card reader was giving us some trouble. Said it belonged to the 'county' and she wasn’t responsible for it. Got scared when we asked for an FBO card so that the next time we could call in before coming. Was absolutely petrified by me and my friend's Indian looks.

Had a great stop. Landed just as they were closing but Gary stayed to fill me up and ensure I got into the community hangar overnight. (Thunderstorms in the area.) The hangar was $12. They allowed me to use the free courtesy car overnight to get to the local hotel. Just put some fuel in it. I'll be back!

Nice airport. Nobody was overly friendly but they certainly weren't rude. I like the gas price though. I'll be back.

Very nice little museum inside the terminal building. Line personnel gave me great service at a very reasonable price. Love that southern hospitality.

Very nice place to stop. Super service at a fair price. Only there for fuel but will make it a point to use their service again.

Stopped in on my way to DFW (blah!) and found a great place. Nice people, reasonable gas, and a nifty little museum. I didn't know that CRS had been an Army Air training field in the '40s. Now I need to dig thru my Dad's old files to see if I can find any notes about it. He trained somewhere in Texas, very likely here. Next trip in, it'll be CRS in my Cherokee, and NOT Frontier into DFW!
