Born in MT. Raised in Cut Bank. Hope to fly a helicopter up there soon, land, and see my Dad out north of town. Maybe fly out there too! Sounds like a great visit as I have not been there by air yet...!

Stopped due to bad weather into Kalispell and took a nap in the sleeping room. Dave was very helpful and it is a neat little stop. Be cautious of strong winds in the afternoon (gusting to 43kts) so tiedowns are a must. Thanks Dave.

I strongly recommend Cut Bank as a place to stop en route. Dave (The Manager) is extremely helpful and the fuel prices are very affordable. There is wireless Internet, a pc in the terminal for weather, and a neat museum outlining the airports history.

Arrived on Sunday, 15 July - was met by Dave who helped me put my Cherokee in the old B17 hangar for our week stay in Glacier Nat’l Park. The rental car arranged through Bell Ford was parked by the gate and ready to go. I arranged through Dave for Ironhorse Aviation to do an oil change while we were on vacation. Ted at Ironhorse found a problem with the exhaust system and after calling me had replacement parts shipped in and the repair made in time for our departure. It was an expensive stop - no fault of anyone in Cut Bank but a great stop and great service from really friendly folks. Be advised that Salt Lake center has spotty radio reception at 8000 ft in this area.

Arrived 20 minutes after midnight and was met by the Customs agent. (minimum of 2 hour notice required by Customs) We found the sign out sheet and keys for the courtesy cars and took one to our hotel. We enjoyed the almost museum-like atmosphere of the airport building and found the staff kind and helpful.

What a friendly place. Arrived on a Saturday afternoon fuel stop during my trip from Seattle to Northeast. Nobody was at the airport but this place seems to be from a bygone era. There are two Spartan rooms with clean beds and towels. There's hot shower. One can almost see an airmail pilot staying they’re waiting out a storm before crossing the Rockies to Kalispell. The airport used to be a WW2 bomber base and there's a little museum room full of artifacts. Definitely stop by again when I get the chance.

Superb service - great prices! We landed July 12 and left on July 19. Dave Ries put our plane into a hangar while we were on a tour of Glacier National Park for a week. Dave provided us the courtesy van to get to train station, agreeing to pick us up there on our return to Cut Bank a week later. The return train was NINE [9} hours late - potentially compounding our entire return trip to La Crosse, WI. One call to Dave, and he had his friend Vern drive up to East Glacier Lodge, pick us up, and drive us back...Right up to the hangar where our plane was waiting in a cool building!! [Thanks Vern!]. We loaded the plane, fueled up, picked up our weather and clearance, and departed right on time....Just as though the Amtrak problem had never happened. By whatever measure you evaluate FBO service, you will have to give Dave and Vern - and the Cut Bank Airport an A++ ... We've never been treated so well! Again, many thanks to Dave Ries and Vern.

Great STOP... Customs came out to clear us at 2300 local.... Too tired to continue to HLN. So we crashed in the sleeping rooms... VERY comfortable...And interesting history... Didn't have time on this trip to use courtesy cars and see town. But SS 100LL and all the comforts of home...Even at midnight

Stopped over on 12 May 2006. Aside from fuel (100LL and Jet A), amenities included courtesy vehicle, sleeping areas, washrooms and shower, kitchen, and camping. An excellent stop for those looking for a place to stay the night.

Flew from Calgary Springbank (CYBW) to Cutbank (KCTB) and back on June 30, 2005, to take care of some business in town. This was my first flight to the US and I was impressed with KCTB and its helpful manager, Dave. (The whole airport courtesy car thing is very civilized. The airline-flying public is missing out!) I highly recommend this quiet old airport with its good GA ammenities and its interesting B-17 past. Just watch for the NORDO traffic!
