You would think there must be a lot of GA activity at KDAY to support three FBOs but when I took my piston single there mid-afternoon on a Saturday, all three FBOs looked very quiet. Stopped in front of Stevens, no one was around so I parked in front of the door. A guy finally came out and said I was the first plane to stop there all day. I wanted to go to a meeting and come back to the plane later but the one guy working locks everything up at 5:30, not to open again until 8AM (Sunday, earlier other days). Finding my own way street side through some long hallways I went through a door to find myself in what looked like an industrial area behind a bunch of hangars. I thought I was in the wrong place but that was it. Uber was able to find me. The facilities inside were nice. I can't blame them if they are not busy enough to have more than one person on duty on the weekend but it wasn't quite the big airport, full service FBO experience one might expect.

Made an enroute fuel stop at DAY/Stevens. No one came out to meet and flag for parking. In late afternoon, the ramp was not busy. Finally, a guy came sauntering out. I asked him if he had fueled a Seminole, which has fuel tanks in the nacelles. He said he had, so I reminded him that the fuel must come up into the filler neck until about 1 to 2" below the cap level. I told him that the plane would take at least 50 gals. And to "top both tanks". I went inside to check wx, etc. 10-15 min. Later, I went out to the lobby to pay the bill; he was still in the fueling process. He finally came in, still sauntering in low gear, and said, "50.4 gals". I paid the bill, went out to check the caps, and realized that neither tank was filled to even the bottom of the filler neck. I went back inside, but he, being the only one on duty, was nowhere to be found. I knew that 50 gal. Would safely get me home with reserve fuel on arrival, so I flew on. I was not impressed with Stevens!

Fantastic service. Crew car was available for our group of four to head over to the USAF Museum for a quick visit. A thunderstorm passed in the meantime, and when we returned, we found that we'd been put in the hangar to keep our light twin safe from the storm. We were all fueled up by that time as well, so could leave quickly. Perfect experience.

Flew a cross country from KBVI to visit the Air Force Museum with friends. I called the day before and asked about the availability of the crew car. They reserved one for me, and the crew car was ready when we arrived. Very kind and nice people. Very conveniently located and easy access when landed on runway 36 or 24L.

I have been flying into Dayton for nearly 30 years, and I and the planes I have flown in have always been given excellent service. One time I landed with ice on my wings and they put the plane into the hangar to de-ice, another time my nose wheel was flat, and I aborted the take off, Their line man towed me to another FBO that did maintence on Cezznas, I never had a problem getting a courtesy car or a ride to where I needed to go in Dayton

Happy New Year to the folks at Stevens. You guys are by far the best. You always make us feel welcome. You go above and beyond to make sure I'm taken care of.

What a FBO is supposed to be. I always look for Stevens on the field. I've yet to be disappointed with their service.

I just wanted to write a line or two about my experience with Pete and the Crew at Steven's Aviation: Wonderful experience and very professional and friendly group. Special thanks to Suzanne and Tom the lineman.
