Our club Arrow is based 40 miles away. I stopped to drop off friends on the way home from MA and filled at the self-serve. When threatening weather was coming they moved and tied it down for me. Great crew (and decent coffee)!!

This is one of the nicest FBO's I've ever seen. The facilities and staff are both top notch. They are so dedicated to quality service that after the line personnel directed us to park; they gave us the blue carpet treatment in a C172! I personally would go out of my way to stop here again. I very highly recommend Monaco to everybody.

Wonderful service. Arrived to find an info-pack with maps restaurants and points of interest for Duluth along with a ready rental car and red carpet for my humble Commander. Monaco staff made a recommendation and reservation at a great Lake Superior hotel. Thank you Nora! Fuel prices are high, but they make you feel like royalty, even if you don't burn kerosene.

Outstanding service - planned to fly to DLH for quick trip/lunch. Had called ahead ... When we arrived, our experience started with the line team putting out carpets for our Skylane ... A nice touch. Friendly staff, not only did they have a courtesy car ready, they had printed out suggestions for restaurants. Impeccable facility, friendly courteous staff.. Could not ask for much else. Second time visiting Monaco in the past 3 months ... Same treatment both times.

These folks are the best. I contacted them about 3 weeks prior to my arrival. Their information was exceptional, even to suggesting that the hotel we were going to was just OK and that they could get us better rooms at better hotels for less money. Same with the rental car. When we arrived, friendly, smiling and helpful desk and line personnel greeted us. It was cold and they made me an overnight hangar deal that I couldn't resist. Fuel is expensive, although priced with competition. They kept my plane in the hangar the next day and allowed us to load up and then pulled us onto the ramp. No cold start-ups here. All in all, I highly recommend Monaco Air for friendly, efficient service with a smile.

The Monaco folks worked very hard to help keep over 200 Cirrus SR22's and 20's gassed up at the annual migration. They had sack lunches in reusable cool pack lunch bags set up for this morning as most of us departed. This is an outstanding FBO. Everyone from line guys to people answering the phone was professional and friendly. I recommend Monaco to all passing near Duluth.

I agree with all of the positive comments below. I stopped through Duluth on an international ferry flight recently. Let me first say something about US Customs at DLH. I actually landed here BECAUSE of the positive and helpful attitude of the US Customs inspector I was dealing with. There are certain places in the US I avoid like the plague because of the hostile attitude of certain Customs inspectors. It is a real pleasure to find a place so helpful, so thank you US Customs DLH. Monaco Air FBO is an excellent and friendly place, with good, attentive staff and a very kind and helpful attitude. I would recommend DLH as a good place to stop, particularly international.

I just flew in today after having been away for the past 3 years. Wow! What a difference! What a nice facility! From the red carpet to the big screen TV this place has it all including great staff! My passenger was very impressed! You guys (and Gals) make me look good! Keep up the good work!

Quick service and friendly staff. Country Inn has a Shuttle, picked us up within 5 minutes after Wendy made the hotel reservation. FAST! Nice after a long day of work.

Monaco Air continues to exceed my expectations! We were there a while ago and on our departure, my wife slipped on a small patch of ice by the door (its Minnesota in the winter after all.), dropping a bag containing some leftover wine from our trip. Not a big deal, and certainly not their fault. Immediately a returning line guy rushed to help! He helped clean up the mess, helped carry stuff in for us, and even cleaned up. The desk staff went out of their way to help my wife clean her coat and make sure all was ok. That was wonderful! The really outstanding part came several weeks later when we received a note apologizing for its tardiness, inquiring about if she was ok, and including a gift certificate to a local wine store to replace the wine! WOW! This exemplifies the new outlook of this FBO to provide service. I am a customer forever! Thanks!!!

AWESOME service. Myself and 3 other planes were running from the weather and pulled into Duluth as a last resort. They were great, especially Holly behind the desk. They managed to get us hangar space for the night and the facilities were outstanding. I would return there in a heartbeat. Very friendly service and great turn around.

All the comments below are positive, as they should be. This place is great and I agree with the folks that say that this FBO is head and shoulders above the old FBO. They are now 24 hours and working on getting Customs to come down to their ramp instead of at the terminal. I have had my share of bad experiences at Duluth and the old FBO, but I think that is all ancient history and look forward to visiting Monaco again. Oh and Kudos to the line guys and CSR for giving us such great service on a very cold and windy day.

Amazing in what an owner can do in such little time. They have done so much. They have a nice lounge, a lookout area from the area by ramp entrance, a small conference room, two beds, pilot brief area and huge plasma showing all the flights around the area on flightaware. Looks nice. Oh and did I forget the service. AMAZING. My friend told me he pulled up at Monaco to get his Cirrus worked on and when they asked how his flight was, he said "It was a nice taxi from the t-hangers" (about a 2 min taxi) and they had pulled out a red carpet. Hey, but it is awesome.

First time using Monaco Air on a regular visit to Duluth. What a breath of fresh air! In the past the FBO in this location was one of the worst I had visited, but since Don Monaco took it over it has changed and now is one of the best. Friendly, complete service. I called in advance and booked an Enterprise rental car, and during my one day visit had them change the oil, wash the plane, top off the O2 and TKS fluid, and gas up. Fresh chocolate chip cookies, complementary sodas, and friendly staff got us in the car and on our way 10 minutes after arrival. This is the way all FBO's should work.

Arrived at Monaco on Friday afternoon, July 28 for 3 nights. Super service, the place was buzzing when we arrived but three people who parked the plane, unloaded baggage and hauled us to the terminal to get the rental car met us promptly. Same great service when we left on Monday. One caution, there was large hail forecast every evening so I called and asked to be put in the hangar. The $ 75.00 per night for the arrow was higher than my hotel room, worth the peace of mind but still kind of high.

After a previous bad experience at the old FBO which I wrote about here, I had not returned to DLH. I did just last week and was VERY pleasantly surprised by their new look and everyone's attitude. Talk about a complete 180! They are doing a great job, and I look forward to my frequent visits there now! Way to go!

Flew in w/ family of four, great service, were given crew car (3 to choose from), to visit Duluth and eat, (we bought fuel), they even brought out the red carpet for my little "Bo"! Very friendly and helpful. No ramp fees. In the "Terminator" vernacular..."I'll be back!!"

Monaco Air Duluth is doing an outstanding job turning around a dead horse. Amenities for pilots and passengers are practically endless. The face-lift has the place looking great. International flyers should consider Monaco Air, as it would be a quick in and out with no arrivals or departure procedures. In my experiences, flying through the upper Midwest to and from Canada or flying across the U.S., Monaco Air is Strategically the perfect stop. They've earned my business to come back.

They have walls again! The renovation is coming along nicely. New ownership seems dedicated to providing top-notch service. Definitely the "place to go" for flight training in the Duluth/Superior area. No better way to get used to ATC than to deal with them every day. Tell Gary his star pupil sent you...And when he gets a dumbfounded look on his face, say "Matt" because mine is probably the last name he'd think of after hearing the words "star pupil." If they can teach me, they can teach anyone. :-)

Monaco has recently done a lot of work renovating their FBO. The pilot's lounge is great, and the staff very friendly. I'm here in a fairly regular basis as a freight pilot and I'm always given a welcome reception.

There is a noticeable change in attitude and service towards GA travelers today. Been in 3 times now since the change over and have been impressed. Lobby is going through a complete renovation at this time, but it looks like it will be a very nice change when completed. Fuel is now the Shell brand.

Monaco is a great place to rent and receive excellent, intensive (therefore economical) flight instruction. Line service and operation has been improving nicely under the new ownership.
