Landed on a Friday at 5:30pm in an experimental and no one was to be seen. I fueled up at the self service pump and discovered after reviewing the receipt that an additional sales tax was charged on top of the fuel cost that was advertised (7%). A little annoying, but no huge deal, just wish it was already factored into the advertised cost.

Planned to fly to Portland but turned back due to weather. Deviated to Dalles airport to get fuel. Very friendly service and the crew car was a great benefit. A+

Weather in the Willamette and on the coast causes an unplanned delay on 10-24-2007. I would definitely stop here again. Andrew and Darren were very helpful and accommodating, with useful information on lodging & dining. The courtesy van was a great plus!

We stopped in here because of weather to the west. Andrew was very helpful, and lent us their van to go across the river into The Dalles. There is only one rental car company available, and they were friendly, but VERY short of available vehicles when we were there. This is a lovely small airport with a great little cafe (the locals drive in to eat there), a good maintenance/repair operation, and all the amenities you would need, without being glitzy and/or expensive. We loved it! Watch out, though. The gorge winds are tricky, and landing approach can get very interesting. Not for the timid!

Great place, FBO rep very very helpful, SS but he still made things easier for us. Thanks for the use of the van too. Big Jim's was not a great restaurant stop for us this time but oh well.
