I have flown my Learjet into Danbury several times and always feel like the folks at Business Aircraft do a great job. There are limited facilities at any FBO on the field but these folks go the extra mile to try and do it right. I will continue to use them.

Recently, I decided to fly into Danbury, CT instead an airport a little south of KDXR. I'm based in Maine at LEW and often work in New York and New Jersey, so whenever possible I fly rather than drive. The downside has always been the congested airspace and airports in the New York area. In addition, as you get closer to New York City, everything just costs more. While looking for an alternative, I called several FBOs, and Linda at BAC (Business Aircraft Center) at Danbury Municipal answered in person! No voice mail! I made plans to fly in and park there the next day. When I arrived, I was directed to parking and tie-down, the airplane was refueled, a rental car was waiting for me, and Linda even made sure I had the best hotel deal, offering to change reservations for me if necessary. There's more, but I recommend that you just give them a try. In my opinion, BAC is one of the best FBOs in the Northeast! And please be sure to tell Linda and Rob that Ernie from Maine says hello.

They seem to be a bit understaffed. I would say this more resembles a "mom & pop" operation. However, the staff was very friendly, helpful, courteous, and they really wanted my business. I would recommend them to anybody flying in to DXR. Only draw back is there is no crew car or courtesy transportation to the hotels, food, or mall. That is one area they could work on. $45 round trip cab ride to and from the hotel along with their overnight fees, makes some of the other FBOs a little more attractive.

Same friendly people over the few years I've flown into here. It's still convenient to Danbury Fair Mall, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and now there's a Coldstone Ice Cream store and I discovered that there's also a pizza shop within a 5-10 minute walk away =) Still my favorite place to take a short hop to in an airplane

We landed at DXR when the weather rolled in and we were unable to get into our original destination. BAC was the only open FBO at 1830 and their professionalism was greatly appreciated by our crew and passenger. Their personnel took care of our fuel needs and welcomed us to their facility promptly.... They even went so far as to feed us!!! A great FBO with outstanding service and fantastic people. This is how it should always work.

Great experience!! Personnel were very helpful and knowledgeable about airport operations. Very respectful and polite. The service was fantastic and the accommodations were superb. Overall an excellent experience and a definite first choice for Danbury.

Updating previous comment: weather room now has full highspeed internet connection. Not a classic "weather terminal" but fast enough to review current radar, etc., if you know what websites to use. Service still friendly and efficient.

Very adequate facilities. They had people coming out to receive the incoming planes regardless of whether they were a small PA-28 like myself or a TBM-700 which parked next to me. Kind of tough to spot the airport as it is in a small valley in the middle of the hills. Look for the beacon on the hills south of the airport if you are coming at night. Definitively recommendable airport and FBO.

Very accommodating. Overnighted W32 in D.C. and stopped in on the way north after a terrible experience at CDW. (see related comments) Needed a food stop and was hungry for Red Lobster. Guys at B.A.C. were friendly, professional, and sociable. Spent an hour at the restaurant and they took no $$ for ramp, even though we took no gas. Highly recommended.
