Working in the control tower we make the walk every now and then. Food is great. Our favorite dishes include the Carne Asada Taco Salad or Carne Asada Tacos (good steak), the Big Airport Breakfast and the Iced Tea! They usually broadcast the tower frequency on the patio, which is kinda fun!

Have eaten here several times and always pleased. Lots of food (good food) at reasonable prices. Can't beat the view of the ramp and the strip.

Good food at fair prices, the patio is nice with a great view of the ramp and runway. We will be back.

Annia's Kitchen has great food, lots of it, and fair prices. Open late, you can fly in for dinner. Inside and patio seating overlooking the ramp and runway make this a pretty good fly-in cafe in the LA basin.

I do most of my instructing out of El Monte and eat at Annia's often. The food is good, the service is friendly an efficient, the prices reasonable. Also I don't understand the comment on the PAR departure. There is no precision approach radar at EMT.

Pleasant place to hang out and watch the action. Shaded outdoor tables. Reasonably plain reasonably good reasonably priced food.

I've always found the food to be good, reasonably priced, and the service to be competent.

WORST FOOD and SERVICE I've EVER HAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! The waiters were intoxicated. I'll NEVER patronize this toilet again. Thank God for Jack In The Box, Del Taco, and Weinerscnitzel nearby.

Yep, its called Annias' Kitchen. Food and service is excellent & extremely friendly! Very clean place. ONE WARNING & probably just bad timing on our part but * I flew in on Sunday, about 11:45am and the tower operator was either new to controlling or having a breakdown. 1st time I have ever been told on a P.A.R. to make a right turn to a heading of 390 and climb out calling SOCAL. The compass on our Cutlass 172RG stops at 360. Granted this controller was swamped and there is only a 1 runway at this airport. Know your options flying into El Monte.

I agree with the last comment about the restaurant (Annia's Kitchen) at El Monte. The food and service are good, the menu choices extensive, and the prices reasonable. They're open 7 days a week, 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. It might be good to call ahead to confirm their hours, if you're coming near opening or closing time.

I believe it's called Annie's, and it's worth flying in for! Considering all the owners this restaurant has had, I think they've finally gotten it right. Although it was very busy for breakfast this morning with a 15 minute wait, the service was still very friendly, the food was great, and the prices were right. They have both inside and patio dining--eating on the patio overlooking the ramp and runway was really nice. They're all doing a great job here, and they deserve to do well.

The new restaurant at El Monte Airport opened July 2005. It's a good airport restaurant, with a large variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner fare, good service, and reasonable prices. At the date of this note, it is open 6 a.m. - 9 p.m., 7 days a week.
