I visited McGill during my stay on Amelia from May 20 - 23. When I arrived on Wednesday, the winds were stiff, and it was raining. The line guy met me on the ramp, pushed me back and got me tied down while I stayed in the airplane so that we could keep the controls in place. He also brought the rental car out to the airplane. On Friday, Mike (I think) called me because he noticed my nose wheel was low, and wanted to know if he could put air in it. On Saturday, we loaded up, and were ready to go when we had a little problem. Your guys again were very helpful. They helped get my nose into your hangar so I could troubleshoot, made some phone calls for me, and even helped me find some tools, and suggested an excellent solution to the problem! All in all they were eager and helpful in an effort to make sure we were served and safe. I was grumbling a bit about your fuel price, but your service was exemplary. We'll be back! Please extend my thanks to all!

Line guys nice BUT I bought 275 gallons of Jet fuel at 4.99 a gallon and no crew car I complained and the line guy behind the counter pretty much told me to go F myself I will never buy anything from these people again The talk is of someone else running the FBO I am all for that when they build the new terminal get these people OUT
Response from Sean McGill President, McGill Aviation In response to Mr. Arblaster's post. He requested our courtesy car and was informed it was out of service and the replacement had not yet arrived. He was offered the choice of taxi or discounted Hertz rental car. He declined both. The Hertz agent, who was heading out to lunch, offered him a ride. He accepted that ride, but his passengers arrived an hour early and he was forced to leave without the opportunity to grab a bite to eat.

Stopped here on a recent trip to southern Florida. Great people, friendly, helpful. Of course if you are going to Amelia Island, this is the place to fly to.

Fine experience and clean facility. We called ahead for the courtesy car but upon arrival were told it was "broken". Everybody was friendly and the ride to a restaurant was about $7.50 each way. Fueling was done promptly. Overall it was a fine experience at McGill. N17386.

!!Avoid refueling here!! Nice facility and everyone is friendly, too friendly! We requested fuel and while fueling, the fuelers decided to put their initials into the turbine soot on the nacelles. When I asked why they did it or what they were going to do about it, I was told the supervisor had left for the day (BTW this was 1530 local on a weekday.) I have made a few phone calls to the FBO to try to contact the manager, with no response (he is either in a meeting or already left for the day). Either they (management) do not care about their customers or the staff will not relay my messages. This is my only recourse, but while I am flying the plane, we will NEVER purchase fuel here again! In my business customer service is paramount and if the staff and management is to sophomoric to realize this, sobeit.
Response from Sean McGill President, McGill Aviation There is no excuse for our employees' behavior. I have indeed spoken with Mr. Greene and taken the appropriate action. This is not the experience McGill Aviation wants its customers to have.

I went to a meeting at Amelia Island. This is a great airport and FBO. On CTAF, they asked me about how long I was going to stay. As I rolled out after landing, a line person was directing me to my parking spot. They called transportation for me and I was met at my airplane by the shuttle. Great airport. IFR, IMC departure went without a hitch partly because the staff provided me with the phone number of Approach. Thanks to all
