On our way from Michigan to Colorado, we had a very high CHT indication that caused us to divert to HSI (20 miles south of GRI). Being Labor Day weekend and no FBO at HSI, I braced for a loooong stay at HSI. Thankfully, I called Craig at Trego/Dugan who quickly got one of their great mechanics to drive down to Hastings to help us out. In 45 minutes the mechanic had the problem solved and we were ready to continue our trip. I cannot thank TD enough for helping us out so quickly and with a smile!

Very good experience! Line service is efficient and friendly; the FBO is nice with very very comfortable lounge and well-stocked vending machine and- hot coffee and fresh baked cookies! Internet computer and weather computer. Artwork and pictures on the walls add a nice touch paired with excellent customer service make for a good stop.

Stopped at Grand Island for fuel and lunch on my way to and from Longmont, CO. Tower personnel were best I have experienced in sometime. Friendly and helpful in all aspects. Restaurant is adequate, but as noted by others it closes at 5:00 PM Monday through Friday and is not open Saturday or Sunday. Trego/Dugan has a nice facility, but be advised they do not sell aeronautical charts. First FBO I have found that does not.
Response from Tina Wieczorek-Customer Service Manager, Trego/Dugan Aviation of Grand Island Trego-Dugan Aviation would like to apologize to all of our customers for no longer having Aeronautical Charts. Due to a change in the requirements of the Department of Transportation we were disqualified as an agent. The Department of Transportation requires their agents to sell a certain percentage and we did not meet the guidelines. Some charts can be downloaded off this website www.naco.faa.gov or purchased at Sportys. Once again we are sorry for the inconvenience to our customers.

This FBO sets the standard for inferior service! Arrived at this unfamiliar airport and taxied around looking for the FBO... No lineman out helping. Had to wait for someone to come out to ask about fuel. Walked into the FBO to pay for fuel and desk clerk immediately got up and walked away saying that she will be back in a few minutes. While I waited for her to return, the lineman was loudly complaining to his supervisor about the work schedule. Cold drink vending machine was completely empty, to the desk clerk's complete amazement and amusement. High cost fuel and poor service... Go elsewhere if you can!

I'm sorry I didn't experience the same excellent service as the others. I was told just to buzz the gate to get back to the ramp after eating. Unfortunately after buzzing for 10 minutes I had to find another way onto the ramp. The girl at the desk explained in a very "matter of fact way", that sometimes it doesn't work. No apologies, no "sorry for your inconvenience"- just "that's the way it is". When I suggested they post the office phone number to call to get in since the buzzer doesn't work all the time, they felt it would be too much trouble. By the way, the restaurant stops serving breakfast at 10:00. I arrived at 10:10 and the attitude was "too late". Hopefully this was just a bad day for people; definitely not the service described by others.

Arrived on June 21st and stayed for a week. Excellent service by Trego/Dugan Aviation very friendly and helpful staff. Although Avgas is a little pricey they do not charge overnight fees. They will upon request put your aircraft in the hangar for $30 a night or $75 a month. They do recognize the AirBoss program although the line person didn't know what the procedure was. I ended up and login on to AirNav to show him the price difference, and he discounted accordingly with no hassles. I had to get a new vacuum pump installed so I had to use their maintenance facilities. I was fairly charged for the installation and if need be will have work done there again. There is a restaurant on the field but its only open from 8 - 5 M-F. Overall a pleasant experience, and I will be back again.

We unexpectedly found ourselves @ GRI due to a weather diversion for Midwestern rain and low ceilings. While the fuel prices are high, the service provided was tremendous and personnel were all extremely friendly. After dinner and a weather re-evaluation we decided to spend the night. Trego/Dugan graciously allowed us to keep the courtesy car overnight to get to/from the hotel. Thanks!

We had to divert to GRI due to weather and our experience couldn't have been more positive. They had a crew car for us to take into town for dinner. After we returned, the only hotel with a shuttle was booked. The wonderful folks at Trego made some calls and got us a great rate at the new Hampton Inn (highly recommended). Then they let us keep the crew car overnight. The next morning, the lineman helped us untie the plane and even wiped down the windshield! First rate all the way.

Trego is a great place to stop. We were running late, they stayed 30 minutes over to make sure we were taken care of. Plane was fueled and ready to go in the morning.

Stopped during a ferry flight. Nice FBO with efficient services. We were in and out in few minutes but the service was noticeably professional.

Unfortunately I have to break the positive streak and say that I no longer will be considering T/D at GRI a viable fuel stop. We had 15 hours of medical transport flying in the past two days. I decided on GRI for the overnight, as I have been pleased with T/D at LBF. It really didn't sit well with me that when we arrived at 0700 this morning for a 0800 there was no one at the desk. After a few minutes a lineman walked by and barely acknowledged us. I followed him into the break room where I found him reading the morning paper and eating breakfast. I asked if there was anyone working the front desk. He said that would be him. HMMMM, now why did you walk right past 4 customers standing at the desk to go read the paper? Being a huge proponent of quality customer service, that sheer sense of negligence has now truly soured my opinion of this FBO. So after another 7 hours of flying today with 3 quick turns and being truly exhausted, I still feel the need to post this comment.
Response from Tina Wieczorek, Trego/Dugan Aviation of Grand Island TDA is devastated by the last comment. Customer service is our #1 priority. We have investigated the incident and concluded that Mr Hales' comments were accurate. TDA believes that this incident was an exception to our normal level of service and has apologized directly to Mr. Hales. The employee involved has been terminated. TDA encourages pilots to review the other comments posted below to gain a feel for our normal level of service.

We arrived in a Lear 24 for a quick-turn and catering. The weather was more winter than spring, but the ground crew was ready and we were fueled quickly. Catering was very well prepared and affordable – ample supply for our passengers. Fuel price was even lower than posted on website. Excellent service and facility!

Flew in yesterday and we could not have picked a worse day. Temp was -17C with 20 kts wind blowing snow across the runway. T/D people were freezing, but made the best of it and were very helpful and nice. They even had the car all warmed up for us.
