The 3-Zero Cafe is not only a great little restaurant but a nifty air museum filled with cool aviation memorabilia as well and the co-owner and head waiter Mark "Spunky" Smith, bon vivant and raconteur, has a whole slate of corny jokes that people love to hear. War bird pilots and us lesser mortals love this joint says plane spotter and ufologist Big George. Happy trails (contrails that is) to all and always remember: Keep the dirty side down and the pointy end forward.

We stopped in with our 65-pound dog and enjoyed a great meal on the patio. Laura had a Salmon Caesar Salad and I had the chicken Caesar. Both were GREAT! The food here is not typical airport stuff. It rivals our non-airport eatery favorites! The service was super and very friendly. The owner took extra time to talk to us and really made us feel welcome.

My favorite fly-in breakfast in/near the bay area. Food is always good, great variety on menu, and you can sit outside. Have been going every month or two for something like 10 years, never a bad breakfast.

My wife and I had breakfast there this morning and enjoyed it very much. The service and the decor are standard airport diner, but the menu and the food are several notches above the usual airport fare. It takes about 5 minutes to peruse all of the breakfast options. The food was delicious, and the price was not out of line for NorCal ($30 for two, including tip). We'll definitely go back again.

Three-Zero is OK. Food is excellent, service good, staff friendly. A marked improvement over the last couple of years. You can sit outside as well.

After reading and hearing all the mixed reviews, figured we would try the 3-0 Cafe and form our own opinion. We were quite pleased and impressed. Staff was extremely friendly and the service and food were excellent. One word of caution, keep your pattern in tight due to rapidly rising terrain to the east.

I flew over to HAF today. I went into Three-Zero Cafe after they were closed (but I didn't know that at the time). However, sure enough their sign said close. Mark (owner/manager) said hello and asked if he could help me. I said I would like a cup of coffee. He explained they were closed, but that the coffee was still on, and hot. He poured me a cup, and it was great. He joked that coffee was $5/cup, but if I were a Beech driver it would be $10/cup. I am a Beech driver. Anyway, Mark would not let me pay for the coffee, and it was excellent. Mark told me who made the coffee, who roasted it, and it was a local HAF vendor. He sold me a bag for $8! I can't wait to brew some at home. I think the Three-Zero Cafe is great, and I recommend it to those who like good service, nice folks, and a diner atmosphere. Mike

Thumbs down on this restaurant. It does not warrant even a minimal rating. Sole reason for this entry is to suggest that there are several other good restaurants quickly gotten to from the southern most tie down at the airport. All the other marina restaurants beat the 3-0 in ambiance, popularity, and welcoming atmosphere. Most had a waiting list to get in when we visited, though. We were rudely turned away on 03 Sep 2007 by the manager or owner at Cafe Three Zero, who decided to close the restaurant to new patrons at 1:30P rather than the 2:00P indicated on the door, web site, and by his waiter. We were informed of that after the fact at 1:33P, having been in the restaurant for 5-10 minutes already. There were plenty of empty seats. Enough said.
