Came to Natchez on our way to Texas from Florida in our Bonanza. Sleepy little airport with plenty of runways. Didn't see another airplane fly while we were there. We were the only airplane on the ramp for 2 nights. The line service was great with help unloading bags into the rent car. On the way out, there were only a few mechanics working and no other airplanes, kind of weird in a way, but it was fine. They were all very nice and helpful. We will come back here to visit Natchez again. When you are there, check out the Monmouth Plantation and take the historic homes tour!

Stopped here twice yesterday as a nice refueling point. I love the Southern Hospitality of this airport! UNICOM was actually listening and offered advice for landing and taxiing for fuel. Met on the ramp by a lineman. The line service is excellent and the air conditioning was cranked up (it was 104 degrees on our second stop)!! The FBO is nothing special, but the people make it a great stop. It would be nice to have an Internet connection available to file or modify flight plans. Data service on my iPhone was kinda sketchy, but was finally able to get enough data to file a flight plan.... An Internet connection would have made this a snap. This is a town I would love to spend some time in later...If the town is anything like the airport, it should be a great experience!

Very pleasant stop. Quick fuel service, good fuel price. Despite the statement in the FBO's description, there is no restaurant, but they'll loan you the airport SUV to take into town for food. No aeronautical charts.

Great little stop. Charming antebellum style FBO. Great southern hospitality and they fueled us in no time.

Another great place to stop. Great airport with good approaches, reasonable fuel, and great service. Natchez is a fantastic town with its southern culture and the many beautiful homes built prior to the Civil War.

Stopped here on 10/3/08 in my Mooney. Natchez is a friendly stop, which is open all the time. However, it is very lacking. At 5:30 pm, the vending machines were near empty and there is no other food on the airport at that time. There is no Internet access here. I had to rely on Flight Services to file my second leg. I am not sure that I would stop here again unless I needed fuel at night.

We stopped on the 21st and 24th. Very nice people. The hamburger and real french fries at the airport were as good as it gets!

Flew into Natchez on 6/6/2008 with a friend and her mother (the flight was her mother's birthday present) and was met by James who directed us to a parking spot. He filled our fuel order right then and there and cleaned the windshield without being asked to. He was extremely kind and courteous and helpful. We had lunch in the restaurant upstairs where we had a wonderful conversation with Al and Corrine who were there at the airport. The cheeseburger and fries were hand made and delicious. If you don't choose to stop here when you are close you are depriving yourself.

Everything as it should be at an airport. Very nice and accommodating. Great people and very friendly. I have flown into this airport numerous times and am always greeted the same every time. Only thing I wish they still had was the lady cooking lunch upstairs.

This isn't Vail or Aspen: this is old-line, small town Mississippi, and it's GREAT. We stopped for fuel en route from Seattle to Florida, and we were promptly met by a very courteous and professional lineman who taxied us into a parking spot right up front. They lent us a pickup (yes, there was duct tape on the seat, but why on earth would somebody complain about that?) to drive the roughly 15 miles to some of the best food on the planet. The fuel was reasonably priced and the runway, hangar and terminal facilities were just fine -- not new or spit-shined, but perfectly clean and well maintained. The people here were nicer and more helpful than just about anyplace I've been in my GA flying experience. I would go well out of my way to see the folks in Natchez again.

March 10, 2008: Stopped here to spend a few relaxing days in Natchez. The FBO facilities are very clean and the people epitomize southern hospitably. Highly recommend KHEZ if in the area.

I flew an Angel Flight out of Natchez and found the facility to be better than I expected, based on some of the reports on this website. Granted, the facility is not new and could use a facelift, but it was clean, the restrooms were perfectly functional, and the air conditioning worked great. Upon landing, I was met by two linemen who marshaled me into a parking spot and took my fuel order. When my passengers arrived from another Angel Flight aircraft, their bags were taken to my aircraft and stowed. All in all, a pleasant experience. Fuel price seems a bit high for this part of the country, though there is a fuel discount for Angel Flights.

Trapped by weather to stop here for fuel & weather info. The men's bathroom smelled causing very short visits. Two people were on duty and lent us the run way down pickup to go to town for lunch. Most of the seats were missing with lots of excess baggage in the truck bed. I hope they appreciated the $10 of gas donated by us since the gauge was down to red marks. I am sure there are better run airports in the area as this one is badly run down!!

Linemen were very speedy with marshalling me to park and then fueling and cleaning windshields. The office administrator, however, was neither friendly nor interested to prepare my fuel bill. Bathrooms were acceptable. I made private arrangements with Enterprise before landing, and again worried myself sick whether their car would be at airport as promised on a Sunday morning. I had numerous phone calls and unanswered messages from the local Enterprise office, but finally they called to confirm that a vehicle would be there. Though the vehicle I ordered was a mid-size car, they left me a pick-up, which was not appreciated. Airport is a good 20 minutes from town, so a car rental is essential.
