From Jeff Ulrich on 20-Jun-2007: On June 18, 2007 I landed for fuel. A/C wouldn't start so Olie and Gunar tried to jump. Thinking it was probably the starter, Olie called Barry of Denison Aviation (DNS). Gunar told me where the airport car keys were so went for a sandwich. Barry was there when I returned and had another starter installed and my plane back in the air to Virginia in under 3 hours. Remarkable! That kind of hospitality, friendliness and service makes me proud to be part of the General Aviation Community and a former Ioweegen. Thank you all again.

From Steve Thompson on 17-Jul-2006: Utilized Harlan airport for an Angel Flight on July 16. FBO was well maintained, with clean restrooms and comfortable lounge. Olie, the airport manager, is such a nice man and he went the extra mile to ensure our passengers and aircraft were taken good care of.
From Peter Ricciardiello on 11-Jul-2006: A refreshing change to the large airports. Easy in and out, excellent fuel prices, very friendly and helpful airport manager, and clean facilities. I will always consider this fuel/rest stop when crossing the US.
From Margaret Schue on 06-Jul-2006: Olie, the airport manager, stayed over on 7/2/06 awaiting our arrival. We received inexpensive secured hangar for three nights and great self serve fuel prices. Harlan is a well-maintained, friendly and accommodating airport, which I would highly recommend.
From Jim Payne on 08-Aug-2005: I stopped in Harlan on July 25 on way to OSH ... gas and go ... got great service ... only spent 17 minutes on the ground ... when I asked what the MoGas octane was I was told it was 20% 100LL. Stopped again on July 29 ... same great service.
