Great place to spend the night. They now have 2 courtesy cars and there are ALOT of places to stay in the small town where they filmed Steel Magnolias. Alot of nice places to eat along the river. One of our favorite places to stop in our cross country flights. Now they have even lowered the fuel prices so it makes it even better.

A great town to spend the night. Alot of nice places to stay, great places to eat. Possible courtesy car for overnights. Stay on river - especially between Thanksgiving/Christmas - when they light the river - quite spectacular.

Landed around 9:30pm and made my way to the FBO. Got out, looked around, found everything locked up (as expected), then called the airport manager but no answer and left my phone number (but goofed up and left the wrong number!). Hunkered down in my RV-6 and just as I dozed off, woke to a flashlight in my eyes. Turned out the manager sent a lineman out to check on me. Received keys to a Crown Victoria crew car and directions to the local hotels. Got a great night's sleep and returned to a gassed-up airplane. Thanks for making a difference guys! I'll tell everyone I know about the great experience and look forward to stopping in again.

Had to divert to IER on the way home and boy was I glad I chose them. Talk about southern hospitality! Daniel was there to greet me when I shut down. Filled me up with 130 gal of cheap fuel for the self-serve price. I was there 9 hrs waiting on wx. The courtesy car was old but worked fine. Had a nice lunch in town. Watched DVD’s in the nice lounge. Napped. I may as well have been at home. Will go out of my way to visit again!

Took a trip to KIER with my Mom, an accomplished artist, in order to find some art subjects in this picturesque town. We were not disappointed. It is really nice and lots to see. The airport is as well kept as the town - really nice runways and FBO. Great service and reasonable fuel. Glad I discovered this destination.

New airport manager! Larry is doing a great job, and the service is better than it has been in 10 years. There are two courtesy cars (most of the time), and the restaurants downtown (1 mile) are great. This is where the movie Steel Magnolias was filmed, so it's pretty--like New Orleans--but clean! Full service price is the same as self-service. I'm based on the field (Bonanza). If you have tried IER before, give it another look. Note: The FBO is closed at night, so no courtesy cars then. Call ahead!!

Traveling from FL to CA in our Glasair, my wife and I decided to stop at Natchitoches for the night due to BAD weather in TX. We called ahead at our last fuel stop and they already had a reservation at the local Ramada. They were able to put the airplane in the main hangar to keep it out of the wind, rain and hail and didn't charge us a thing. They gave us a courtesy car to use while we were in town. Very nice people and I'd recommend it for any future stops.
