This place is a joke, smug service with an attitude. In addition, I asked three pilots including one instructor what the freq was for contacting PB clearance. I got three different freqs, but the best was only to call them in the air, as they do not want small Cessna to tie up the freq on the ground. Never heard such a wacky thing called in the air and got an ear full from the Controller. Our Baron (small Cessna) will not be back.

Stopped on 5/6, and found the services adequate. Plenty of tie-downs available. I can see how crowded it can become during the winter season. Parking at $8/night is much lower than the nearby airports.

Back again after 2 year absence. Tied down now $8 per night. No free night with fuel purchase. Tie down ropes need replacement so I used my own. Very convenient location for me so I'll be back but will buy fuel somewhere else if able. Was $4.99 / gal + 3% (which I will get back).

Just an update to my previous message: I called to have my credit card company remove the "3% Convenience fee, non Phillips Card". MasterCard said that the major credit card companies do not allow charges like that and I encourage you all to do the same. I had no problem getting that 3% back. Sounds shady to me.

Again, be on your toes coming into this airport. It is extremely busy, with lots of helo training in and around the vicinity of the airport. And it is just plain busy, both in the air and on the ground. The FBO was just CLUTTERED!! I can understand nostalgia, but come on, guys. I have never seen a more eclectic collection of useless crap in my life. The appearance of the FBO was a major turn-off. I was only there to ferry a plane out, but I will hopefully never have to return. Both the airport itself and the FBO were a nightmare. Look elsewhere.

All comments below are true, I have flown in here for 5 years now...Very busy, no linemen, no service, what you see is what you get. As for the pilot shop next door, do not even bother, good supply but the gentleman there is far from acting like one.

Not a good FBO! No response on CTAF, no lineman bothered to come out. We found a tie-down spot on our own, tied & covered the plane, and hauled our luggage. Then, as we walked up to the FBO, an Instructor informed me I had to move the plane as I was parked in one of their school spots & not in the Transient area. After moving the plane, we found the FBO employee in the FBO eating donuts & ignoring customers. Then, they did charge a 3% surcharge on our MasterCard fuel purchase (@ $4.68/gal). UGH!
