Quick turn around to pick up Angel Flight passenger. Friendly staff.

The restaurant that replaced the Flying Turtle is pleasing and reasonably priced with good service and food. Fueling is available by truck if you elect to park at the terminal or restaurant although the fuel prices were the highest encountered while on a round trip between Stafford, Virginia and Green Bay, Wisconsin. After being unable to contact the FBO by radio, ground control offered to telephone them with our fuel request. The fueling service was efficient and the line person was pleasant and quick.

After getting severely jerked around by the controllers at Dayton and vectored into bad weather, then having radar service mysteriously "lost, " I re-routed my course to Mansfield. From the first controller I made contact with at Mansfield to the FBO to Mansfield Dep, these folks more than made up for the miserable, unprofessional, dangerous situation created by Dayton ATC. Arrived late but Bruce at Richland Aviation fueled me up, called a taxi, recommended hotels and basically rolled out the red carpet--even though he'd already had an obviously long day. Semper Fi to this outstanding example of how General Aviation is supposed to operate. Kudos and sincere appreciation to everybody involved in Mansfield aviation for helping me turn a bad and dangerous situation into a positive experience. These are great people.

I really enjoyed the newly opened restaurant, Flyboys, the staff was very friendly and the food was great. Easy in and out of Class D airspace. 9k ft runway. Tie downs are directly in front of restaurant with great views of the intersections. Fuel from Richland Aviation somewhat pricey. Though Quick and personable. Will be back.

Although Richland is hard for a pilot to find at KMFD the line staff and the people there are very friendly and accommodating.

Made an unplanned stop returning from OSH due to thunderstorms along route. There was absolutely no lodging available in town due to motorcycle race. The staff allowed us to overnight on the couches in the FBO. Restaurant on field is closed. Very friendly and accommodating tower and approach control. Would not hesitate to stop again.

Arrived Thanksgiving Day. No one there but that is good! Stayed a bit over a week. No ramp/tie down fee. Everyone pleasant and helpful. When the weather got ugly, I put my Cherokee 180 in their hangar ($45/night).

Arrived after hours, had no way of getting off the field. There is a gate by Richland, but I had no way of getting it open from my side or the side my ride was on. Apparently they'll give you the code to the gate if you call ahead of time. Left the plane by the terminal for the duration of my trip with no problems. Free parking with access to a gate. Richland wanted $10/night for tie down, and $65/night for hangar with no fuel purchase. This was all for a 172. Called ahead an hour for fuel and had to sit around for 20 minutes while the only person who was working came back to the office and took my payment.
