I recently stopped at Phillips Aviation for fuel based on info contained in the AirNav data base. I was most impressed. The fuel price was the lowest in the area, and the service was excellent. KMJD is a very clean and attractive airport with all the facilities a transit pilot might require. I highly recommend Phillips Aviation to anyone passing that way.

On my way to Florida from California, I stopped in Picayune because of the favorable fuel prices, and the comments I read on this web site. What a pleasant experience! This is one of the nicest airports I have seen in a long time, and the personnel at Phillips Aviation are some of the most friendly. I would highly recommend this stop for anyone needing fuel or service in this area.

Flew in just after they had closed for the evening. Had a door issue that was allowing cold air to blow right on me. A kind V-tail Bonanza owner gave me a ride to and from Wal-Mart to buy some things to take care of the door. He was a lifesaver! Thank you, sir! After refueling, no receipt came out. However, I called the next day and the desk employee happily faxed me over a copy. Overall, good fuel prices and kind people made this a good stop!

Stopped as planned to fuel up on a long cross-country flight. The airport is a perfect place for reasonable fuel. The runway, taxiway, and ramp are in excellent condition.

Arrived when self-service pumps were undergoing maintenance. The staff kindly put it back together long enough for me to gas up.

On arriving at MJD I had a master switch that would not turn off. Mike, Will and Wayne were quick to repair my plane and get me back home again. I Thank Jesus for their kindness' and pray for their return to normal life.

Great airport, new very nice terminal. Personnel are very friendly. Best SS fuel price in the area. When using the SS pump read all the instructions, as when you are done pumping there is nothing to shut off the pump, just return the hose to the pump area let the pump run and in about 2min it will shut down and print a receipt.

Prices as advertised and a very good deal in today's market. It was a Saturday so there wasn't anyone around that I could find. Ensure that the pump emergency switch is not engaged. Apparently since it takes 2 minutes after you stop fueling to get the pump to shut off...The emergency shutoff switch gets used to expedite. Took me 10 minutes to figure this out...It was hard to get passed step 2 as per instructions and the note about the shutoff switch is near the bottom of the instructions.

The fuel pump turn-off button is on the front of the card reader; the magic marker sign on the button is faded into invisibility. Do not use the emergency shut off button! Better instructions on the self-service pumps would help, reset the gallons indicator before you start fueling. Being an engineer helps. Great price, nice clean facility, we will stop again.

Great deal for fuel stop. They completed the new building 3 months ago, should soon have a PC with weather in the pilot room. Very nice people.

15 Oct 06 Good stop. Great price! Nice friendly folks. Instructions are posted on the front of the meter/card reader. Pump stops when you reach the pre-selected gal or 2 min after you stop pumping. You only pay for what you pumped not the pre-select so just enter a little more than what think you need if you are topping off.

Made an unplanned evening fuel stop due to high winds aloft. Found a well lit ramp, and convenient self serve fuel area. The 100LL pump had the fuel gallons counter and pump switch covered and locked. Had to dispense the full amount of fuel entered into the self serve computer to get the system to shut off. Wanted about 10 gallons less than I had entered, but couldn't figure out how to get the pump turned off. Fortunately I was able to take on all of the fuel, and the pumps turned off automatically when I reached the limit. Didn't check out the FBO facilities, they were about 75 yards or so from the fuel pumps, across an unlit field. Great place for a quick gas and go.
