They really take care of you at MLJ. I had my first encounter with engine trouble and diverted there. I'm no mechanic, but Mr. Osborne is and he helped me diagnose the problem and contacted my flight school for me before I even landed the plane. If you have to have a busted plane, I can't think of a more pleasant place to pass the time. I can't thank him enough.

Words are not enough to describe the incredible hospitality of this FBO. When my Baron's right engine wouldn't crank, I called the FBO "home" number and Ken Sharp said he'd be right out. Ten minutes later, I find this nice gentleman trying to "prop" my right engine in the rain at 8:30 pm. He then gave me the keys to a very clean minivan so that we could return to our lake house. I came out the next morning to inquire about a rental car and "Kenny, " one of the friendliest people you could ever hope to meet, told me to keep the car as long as I needed. When I told him that I lived over 2 hours away he said, "No big thing." I drove my family home and returned the following day with a starter. Missing some tools, Kenny was more than happy to provide them. Then he wished me a friendly "y'all come back now" as I departed. I've never been to an FBO so friendly and with a staff that just can't seem to do enough for you. Thanks to them, MLJ will always be my favorite place to fly!

My experience was similar to what's been said below - excellent runway, adequate terminal building, very competent and accommodating staff. Let me add that one cannot get an instrument clearance on the ground other than via telephone. There is adequate cell phone coverage.

I can't say enough about this FBO or Tom Osborne! I had an engine failure 20 miles from the airport and called Tom...35 min later he had an A&P and help at the scene on a two lane road! He took great care of me. He fixed my plane for way less than he should have charged for several days of labor, and he feed me with his family and friends. I had never met him before in my life. He took care of me like a son. While there I made several friends and learned a great deal of information. I will always go back to Milledgeville (Baldwin County) whenever I fly near GA! Stop in even if you do not need fuel! These guys here are fun people and fun to hang out with and work for pleasure not money or profit.

Flew in to MLJ after hours and stayed a week while I was working in Milledgeville. What a great FBO! Everyone there went out their way to accommodate me. The owner drove into town and drove me back to the airport on a Saturday morning for my departure. Clean facilities and friendly/helpful staff. Gas prices are what they are but that's not their fault. A great stop for anyone in the area.

Fly in over Fourth of July. Great FBO! No tie down charge, probably because we were leaving so early the next morning. Great gentleman behind the desk. Definitely will be back repeatedly!

Stopped in at Milledgeville on July 30 to refuel during a trip from Ft. Lauderdale to Indianapolis. The staff was very friendly; the facilities were fine for the basic needs, clean bathroom and flight planning facilities. The crew car probably needs an update, but all in all a good place to stop - pretty airport with a lake next to the runway. Fuel price in Georgia is high, but they do get the stopover traffic - supply and demand.

Stopped in yet again on the way to FL. Same great service as before. Great guys with fast and friendly service. We were making such good time with a tailwind that we took them up on the offer to take a crew car into town for lunch at the Cornbread Cafe. Cash discount on fuel.
