I love these guys. I come here probably once per month, and have never been disappointed. The facility is top notch, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly. There's no reason to go anywhere else, including Scottsdale.

In last nite and out today in our Turbo Commander N900NE and had 'best of' everything. Rent cars delivered planeside, helpful staff everywhere and nice FBO. We liked the covered airplane entry and real nice FBO facility.

Flew in with starter problem in Bonanza. Swift charged $212 to remove my starter, make aircraft unairworthy, then refused to install a starter shipped form Cruisair in CA with yellow tag. Also got the plane very dirty and left several tools on cowling. Won't be back. Cutter had me fixed and on my way in about an hour.

We were lied to over the radio about having ramp space available for our piston. Upon calling back and claiming to be a Hawker we were welcomed in and told they had plenty of space. As far as I am concerned I will swiftly take my business 100' away to Cutter.

Flew into PHX from SAT on Saturday. Called Swift about 30 mins out and alerted them that we were wanting to stay with them over the weekend and that there was a Hertz vehicle reserved for us. The person on the other end of the radio advised that they had space for us and that the car would be on the ramp awaiting our arrival. Even welcomed us to Phoenix. Once we were on the ground we were quickly assisted with our luggage, A/C secured and luggage packed into our rental. When we were ready to leave on Monday, we called to remind them that we would be leaving and we were promptly reminded that they were ready for us and expecting us. I thank the staff at Swift for all of their help. We came in to enjoy Superbowl weekend and enjoy Phoenix. Excellent job. The line staff performed above and beyond the expectations. BTW.... We flew in a Cessna 172 and felt like we were in a bizjet from the way we were treated.

Arrived unannounced last night around 2000 local. Found our way to parking (were familiar, have been with swift before). Were greeted by very friendly desk staff that recognized us immediately from our last visit more than a month before. Ramp fee ($25 for our C172) was waived with purchase of just 4 gallons of fuel totaling essentially the same price. Was given crew car with no hassle and even had directions printed off for us to the nearest Olive Garden. Facilities are extremely clean and luxurious. Clearly a jet center but they treat Citations, Skyhawks and chartered 737s all the same...With respect and willingness to accommodate. Will return every time we fly to Phoenix.

Tried Swift as a comparison to Cutter. Landed in a Debonair and Swift had my rental car ready to go. Incredibly quick! Very nice FBO. Unfortunately, after I topped off fuel, they waived only 1 night tie down of $25. Cutter waived an entire week of tie downs. ($15/night) Shade parking only for Jets, understandable. Overall, service was fine. I'll return to Cutter though.

Came into Sky Harbor for an overnight meeting. Swift was simply incredible. The rental car was waiting for us before we got out of the plane, and upon return, they took the car back for us. Not bad when you consider I bought all of 15 gallons of avgas for the Malibu, which relieved us of any ramp and/or overnight charges. Next time I'm in the valley of the sun, I'll stay at Swift (that includes trips to Scottsdale!)

Bottomline: Swift has cookies and shady parking

In fairness, I like both Cutter and Swift at PHX, so this post is not an attempt to dissuade anyone from Cutter. I was at Swift for 2 nights on 8/27-29/07 and picked the FBO because of slightly cheaper fuel and the ability to get a rental car on line through Hertz. (Cutter was booked.) I found Swift to be competent, professional and very accommodating. Nice facility, friendly staff, convenient (as is Cutter) location for travel to areas around Phoenix. Hertz has a desk right inside the lobby and the car was ready and waiting. When my one night stay turned into two due to a longer than expected business meeting, they never batted an eye. Ramp and overnight fee waived both nights with purchase of fuel. (Though I only took on 200 gallons.) On departure I was pulled under the carport and out of the hot sun. I find a lot of FBOs at "major" airports I fly into to be less than hospitable to my little turbo prop, but such was not the case at Swift. I will definitely return!

Stopped in for 4 days/nights on business. I couldn't make it all the way to PHX due to thunderstorms, so I overnighted at and bought fuel in Prescott on the way. I purchased 12 gallons of gas at Swift. This was ALL I paid for during a 4-DAY stay! No ramp fee, no overnight fee, nada. I think I got lucky as the ramp fee is $30 and the overnight fee is $12. I called ahead to ask. They definitely waive the ramp fee if you buy gas. I was fully expecting to pay the overnight fee given my small amount of fuel. Swift has moved as of mid March 2004 to the South side of the field next to Cutter. Their new facility is awesome. They have a massive tarp-like cover to taxi your jet under to stay out of the sun. My Mooney was allowed to saddle up next door with another light plane. On the whole I was pleasantly surprised and can highly recommend this facility.

Stopped at Swift for a few days. Line service and counter personnel very helpful. All prearranged details taken care of before arrival. I must say they have the neatest FBO facilities I have seen. I like the 747-cowl lip, DC3 vertical stabilizer and the front desk counter being made out of the skin of an airliner with windows (can't remember which one). Whether you fly a J3 or a G-V Swift will make you feel welcome. Just an overall cool place to park.

Stopped in with my mighty C-182 for lunch at the Biltmore. Got the best treatment one could ask. They suggested and arranged an inexpensive car service. Returned to the bird, which was fueled and ready to go. Great service, friendly folks, full service, and no ramp fee with 20 gallons worth of premium fuel. And yes you can fly easily into PHX. A little planning, review of the airport layout, radio discipline, and head on a swivel is all you need.
