After taking a 20-year break from flying, I started up again with AcuWings. I have since doubled the hours I have total and received my instrument rating. The owners and instructors are some of the best I have ever worked with. They are friendly, professional, and always make sure you are proficient and enjoy your experience. If you are considering flight training, aircraft rentals, or supplies, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

AcuWings sets an example on how every flight school should be. Amiable and highly knowledgeable instructors, cheap rates, very nice airport that is less than a minute away driving. It is very fun to learn with all the instructors, and that what makes me to comeback every time. Very convenient online scheduling system allows planning out your weekly training without any hassle. Good job guys, keep it up above the clouds! PS. Plus the dog that they have, Piper, is one of the sweetest dogs I've seen!

AcuWings is true to its philosophy: "we love to fly and it shows". I found them extremely friendly and helpful. I can warmly recommend Doug as an instructor. He taught me quite a few things that I had forgotten after 5 years without flying. If you ask, he'll have you do the maneuvers on a short cross-country rather than in a practice area. This is quite helpful as you get to know the area and local procedures. Some of the fun stuff we did? We got the PA-38 up to 13.200 ft near Mt Rainier, had a great lunch at TIW, flew really close to downtown Seattle and did a VFR transition over the approach end of Rwy 16 at SeaTac at 1500 ft. The Tomahawks are like 90% of all basic trainers: tired but well maintained. They do preventive maintenance at 25 and 50 hrs. When something breaks (we had an altimeter issue) they take immediate action. Prices are more than reasonable and I'm sure they charged me less instructor time than what I really got.

I had flight training with AcuWings for my instrument and commercial license. AcuWings makes you feel at home so you can ask any question anytime. Also if my instructor were not available at the time I wanted to fly, they would try to replace them with other available instructors. During training, everyone is serious but once training is done you feel as though everyone is your friend.
